The EG CS team is using glasses that supposedly help your eyes when playing video games. Needless to say, the glasses look terrible :p

I don't think it would darken bright lights. I use similar glasses for airsofting and if anything they make things a bit more vibrant so it'd just make the display a bit more colorful, but wouldn't necessarily make a difference to lighting (might actually make it a little bit brighter). It would however take out the glare and that slight painful "OH GOD IT'S TOO EARLY IN THE MORNING FOR SUNLIGHT" feeling so I guess it does the job

Probably because headphones screw your glasses up. Headphones compress the side of your head which bends the frame.

So you asume they use contacts?

That has never happened to me.

Probably because if you're a top Quake player, you've probably been looking at a TV or monitor for countless hours a day since you were a child playing video games.

So, their up-close vision for reading and such will be amazing, but their distance vision will probably suck.

I've been playing games since forever too and nowadays I can't see shit on my monitor without glasses.

Have you considered gettin lasered? The technology nowadays offers great results. Im getting mine done asap. Can't stand driving with glasses, you have to turn your head all over the place, i miss moving just my eyes without needing to turn your head so much to the direction you want to look at. Don't get me started with having to clean your glasses all day (I can't stand it unless they are 100% clear)

I've always had glasses but usually wear contacts. Because of the 5 ms input lag I didn't want my eyes watering too much which is sometimes a problem so I just wore my glasses.
