that's actually pretty awesome..

now, just shut all the casters up and stream it separately like in the good old days. cause I know more than one person who finds the shoutcasting annoying.

We have additionally decided to give you the option to waive the overage fees (incurred over the initial 25GB) by allowing us to put the ads on after the limit has been passed. You will still have access to all of the Premium features, but won't be charged for the bandwidth usage or storage space.

Now that's a good deal, good thing they decided to do it that way, now you have the best of two worlds.

This way they get to advertise to your audience without having to pay you anything. If your audience keeps growing (which it should due to various factors) then you might want to try and find your own advertisers. I don't know how any of it works but it's entirely possible for you to make this stream pay for itself.

/e: btw, what exactly are they streaming in? Resolution, bandwidth, codec (prolly f4v/h264?), and (most importantly) how many FPS???

Right now we're streaming at 640x480 and 400kb/s video, 48kb/s audio, with 50kb/s spare to prevent fps drops from 25fps. Transcoding is On2 vp6.

We can now do any resolution and up to 1.7mb/s upload, whilst being able to modify the rest to whatever we want within the limits of quality... Atleast, when everybody gets set up :)
