gj, try capturing at 50fps next time, revising the config a little bit so it's better suited for a 'cinematic' type of video. also try to stay away from the cheesy generic dance music!

a good guideline of how it's done well!

Thanks. I really just wanted to throw together a sportscenter like highlight reel, nothing fancy. I realized I had alot more than a fast one though. So, I added most of them ;)

I missed the 4 or 5 consecutive railgun hits by noctis on DM6, dunno who the enemy was, but was awesome.

Apart from that, I am not sure, but I suppose either:
- QL demos are choppy at some points
- The AGP produced an already choppy movie, uploading it to youtube
- youtube messed the movie up, being choppy

I suppose it's the first one, but still, the movie is not always choppy, just at many parts (I downloaded the stream and watched it in VLC, still choppy)

Wow that was pretty fast and gj on the quality too.

My only complain is that the video is about 6-7 minutes too long because we didn't see that many good frags @ dubai and you completely lost my interest within the first minute by showing nothing but usual frags we see in every CA match

This isn't a video that is called THE BEST FRAGS OF ALL TIME.

It is a video on highlights of the recent ESL Dubai tournament last weekend.

Tune into sports, you'll see good highlights, and you'll see basically almost the exact same ones for 30 years. That is what this is: specific highlights from 1 tournament.

Sorry if it's not the video of the year. I only did it to showcase Quake Live and the top pro players in this tournament and what they did. Obviously it isn't some special effect fest.

To those who think some of the shots in the video are everyday things you see in ca pubs...
your dumb.
The players in this video are all of the highest caliber and their strafe patterns and anti strafe techniques are top notch. Hitting 2, or 3 rails on one of these "pro" players is harder then hitting 10 in a row on a random. Please think about this before saying that anything in this video isn't impressive.

Nice one streetrunner. I like that you put in the good frags with the great ones too. Imo, makes a better summary of the event than just having a couple frags.

Whats the deal with agp doing promo work for esl? Are they somehow related - I don't think I have been paying enough attention.

It's promo work for the players and the game. The AGP is the Association of Gaming Professionals, which is the players association. Plus, I just threw this together. They can do one as well to promote their product with shoutcasting and more work if they want ;)

Sorry but none of these frags except for one or two are even movie worthy. Its not to say this doesn't happen in other movies too but really this is just a bunch of normal frags. I guess im just spoiled from watching cpm frag movies cause :)

I dont really like anything about the video at all, besides the fact that it was made. The intentions clearly are a positive aspect, and the AGP really seem to push a fair bit of innovations for the community.

I watched this on mah Ipod, the vid was smooth, no stuttering and/or choppiness whatsoever. Some frags are of dubious quality, but overall, this is a very nice highlight movie.
