Can someone recommend me more shmups? I'm especially interested in the modern 'bullet hell' ones. I checked wiki but there's only few examples.

would you be able to recommend an emulator for Ikaruga?

I only have experience with FBA type emulators and its not possible to play Ikaruga on those types =(

dl the dreamcast version, its only about 20mb then use dreamcast emu such as 'nulldc'

cool i found the ikaruga iso only 17mb like you said. im using an emu called 'demul'

it plays decent :D

Basically all future Treasure and Cave games (like DeathSmiles) will be on the 360, but they have already released a bunch of them: Otomedius Gorgeous, DoDonPachi Dai Ou Jou Black Label Extra, Shikigami No Shiro 3, Raiden IV, Raiden Fighter Aces, Ketsui?, tons of XBLA games, etc.

Do you have a chip to bypass the region lock?

Battle Garegga.
Its ranking system is awesome! Gives a lot of depth to the game. I also love its graphics design and music. But it's not a bullet hell shmup.

You want bullet hell? If you have a PS2, get Mushihimesama.

you can even play in cooperative 2 playermode.
You can play it on snes emulator
