its a most common gtv lag. during the floating thing there are no exact coordinates about the players point/coordinates being sent.

You can easily reproduce this by vid_restart'ing when demoing and spectating someone. Watch the demo afterwards.

Without any concrete knowledge I assume:

The game saves snapshots of the game state several times a second (my guess is equal to the snaps setting) and then interpolates between them to make a smooth game. Sometimes due to packet loss a few frames are missed, and the amount the Q3 engine has to interpolate make it look like people float, sometimes through walls.

Makes sense, but that kind of lag on LAN? I'm in no way suggesting that Cypher hacks but yes, I just might be naive about how the game deals with packet loss.

Solution 1:
a simple vid_restart will result in that.
since it cant record and restart video at the same time the demo will lose the info, resulting in shortest path from A(start of vid_restart) to B(end of restart).

Solution 2:
.... or cypher is a bloody hacker and he payed off those damn eswc admins to keep their mouth shut !!
