I have one question... is a post rock show enjoyable?

I like post rock (the usual stuff, godspeed, mogwai, explosions, sigur ros, etc), but I have never been in a live show. Seems too slow to enjoy it in a traditional rock setup.

Oh yes it was definetly a very good experience, mind stretchening if you wish to call it like that.
They had a VERY entertaining light show that would distract you most of the time from the music and tempt you to close your eyes and just watch the colors filling the darkness you would see then :), since there's not always that much action going on when they play, they switched alot of instruments which was fun to watch aswell and were just concentrated as hell to bring you the sound from the record with much more power and feedback to your body :)

Oh and concerning a "slow" show. You never felt the need to sit down since you were always focused on the stage watching them play :)
The only music i know where you need to sit down is Bohren & der Club of gore :D (but they rule)

i saw mogwai during the come on die young tour and let me tell you it was one of the loudest shows i have ever been to.

if you know who those bands you listed are maybe you know american analog set (ive heard them described as post-rock)? well i saw them around the same time, late 99 i think, and they were good but man i almost feel asleep on my feet. you have to know their first two emporer jones records to know what im talking about. they've picked the pace up a bit since leaving ej.
