like has already been pointed out, there were many foreigners spectacting. And the fact alone that the competitors were international is reason enough to have it in english. I don't know why I bother to respond to you anyway, all you do is is argue just for the sake of disagreeing.
well eswc is the international name for la coupe du monde des jeux vidéo which the original name of the event.

It's an international event. If not, I'm sure it would have been named ESFC, not ESWC. That the organizers (or most of them, not sure really) are french doesn't make it a french event.
I hope the official ESWC movie isn't in french this year. Or at least that it has english subtitles.
