Can you please elaborate? My understanding is tox has way more major LAN wins and much higher prize money earned.

tox's wins are almost entirely in Q4.

If you include the quad damage tourney, fox has top level play in QW/Q2/Q3/Q4/QL.

Tox probably earned more prize money, but imo, fox is superior in versatility managing world class results across the entire quake series.

I think fox has achieved more.

The skill gap tox opened between him and fox in Q3, QL and Q4 outweighs anything that fox might be able to do in QW

Not sure about QL, I mean they didn't really play at the same time.

Fox was still a top player in Q3, and as a former qw player I saw his game in qw and it was fantastic. Something any qw'r could be proud of.

Well don't forget that tox is still actively playing QL and just won the swedish championship. Still adding more and more to his 'resume' :}

What did Fox achieve in QW and Q2? I've never seen any footage of him playing those games. He would have been like 14 when QW was out?

Quakecon 2007 Quad Damage tournament required participants to play all 4 quake games. Having said that, according to wikipedia, tox won that tourney and fox came 2nd place.

tox played at quakecon vs fox some years ago. Games q3 and q4 and ownd him in both games as far as i remember.

Tox has at least 10 major lan wins. Fox....maybe 3?

tox practically revolutionized quake 3 and quake 4 with sensitivity changes. he was so reliable at hitting in q3 tdm that a lot of people copied his low sens style. then in q4 when they patched it to stop tox's style, he reverted to a high sensitivity and then when he couldn't be stopped again, they pulled the plug on the game. fucking domination.

Only results from 2003 count.
