i have canon a75, it's a pretty good camera with lots of settings (for those who like to use them),
but if i had to choose again i'd go for a85 - it has a rotating display and it's not much more expensive

I just bought a Nikon Coolpix 3700 the other day. Not exactly a new model (even though I bought it new).
They are only 3.2 mega pixels, but there was a cheaper one there with DBl the pixels, but the guy still advised me on the coolpix.
I'm clueless about Cameras and never really taken a photo before.
This is a photo on NORMAL Quality. I'm sure if you play with certain settings and increase the res etc you'll get better results.
You decide if its any good, or good enough..
I'm more thna happy with it TBH. Looks nice too and you can record video with sound.

I could never buy a camera called "coolpix".

It's 30-40% lighter than the stock model.
Means I don't burn myself out as quick after playing.
It's a lot prettier than the last one I had, though internally its pretty raped too.

I also modified the buttons on the top as I use the AROOW KEYS to move around, so I kinda use every button as a weapon bind.
