Yeah this is a demo on a public server, and? If people enjoy watching such a demo, what's the problem? HeatoN's ffa demo on de_dust2 is one of the most famous and appreciated CS demos. "Why can't XeqtR 0wn people of his skill level?" duh, do you think this is the only demo of XeqtR? He's one of the best players in the world, does that deny him to right to also own people with a skill level inferior to his? Like I said as long as we enjoy watching a ffa demo is doesn't matter too much who he's facing.
ummm can you guys help me when i'm watching the demos all of a sudden in the middle of the demo it freezes and then crashes. Can someone gimme some suggestions on how to fix this. i hear the demo is good and

Number 1, this is a pick up, on a public server (-1 point), if someone had to upload a pick up tdm game with an awesome team and a shit team in q3, no one would care. Why can't XeqtR 0wn people of his skill level?

Number 2, because these are non organised teams, this is team ffa, it loses the point of cs, which, is not aim, it is team play and tactics.

Number 3, Once we look past all that and just take it for what it is (A guy walking around killing people). Then we may look at it again, a guy walking around slowly, killing people.

Number 4, The variation of weapons are: grenades, pistols, shotguns(doubt he used these), machine guns, sniper rifles. Apart from grenades, all the guns are hitscan weapons. Therefore, he can point and click. Of course learning to fire with the spread is very good, but it doesn't make any difference to the spectator.

Number 5, Was my prediction of the demo inaccurate? ie. But I can guess that the dude shoots alot of guys with a machine gun of some sort, mostly in the head...

I suppose cs "looks cool" because it looks realistic and one can get a sense of power when you shoot someone, which may be fun to watch, but other than that... seems pretty boring.

I have not watched the demo, nor do I plan to, if someone who has watched it would like to correct me, they may.

3. Again, what's your point? We play CS because we like the gameplay, if I want to see demos with guys running around at maximum speed I'll dl some Q3 demos. But I like watching CS demos with its slower gameplay.

4. Dude, it takes a LOT of skill to master the weapons in CS. I've played Q3A for a very long time and I improved at Q3 a lot faster than at CS. When you see a demo of a top CS player it is really interesting to watch his spraying technique and how he handles the ak-47, for example. That's why HeatoN's demo on de_dust2 is so famous, there are some amazing sprays in it, which the spectator enjoys watching.

5. Who said you were wrong? But correct me if I'm wrong, when you have a Q3 demo don't you see a dude running around killing other people (not talking about CTF), and if possible trying to get a better weapon? CS is a lot less basic than some other games like Q3.

CS isn't boring at all. It's the same for every game: some people will like it and others not.

CS has never been realistic, if people wanted to play a realistic fps/combat game they would play rainbow six, next to nothing in counter-strike is realistic.

#1 totaly off subject, the demo is focusing on him not the other random people that are on his team, so you cant see its like team vs team, it isnt. CS FFA is play for number 1.

#2 team-play and tactics you learn with your team not on your own, ffa you use to have fun and practice your aim. You practice your aim out of clan wars i.e FFA's so your aim is as good as possible for when you play with tactics and teamplay.

1) iF people r of the same skill level as him OF COURSE HE COULDN"T OWN THEM, the point is that he IS of a higher skill higher than most players and getting there takes effort and time.

2) I seem to recall many people saying that cs is much more aim based than q3 for example, although I agree tactics and teamplay is the main aim of the game can u seriously expect a team of random people coorporating well? I doubt it.

3) SOmetimes slowly killing someone is more spetacular than killing everyone in a instant, it give people time to appreciate the kills :P This of course is personal preference.

4) The variation of weapons in cs are not used as braoadly as many people would like, but same with most other fps, e.g. q3 = rail /rocket, ut = rocket/snipe...etc just that in cs it's awp/ak/m4/aug/sig which I think is more than most other games... it's just got too many weapons for everyone to master and once one person masters one gun everyone else tried to copy him and master that gun as well :o

Q3 is far more complex than CS will ever be,

1) in CS when you kill your opponent his DEAD you don't have to worry about him. In Quake 3 on the other hand he respawns.

2) in CS there are no items to pickup, except guns of enemies which you kill, in quake we have quads, ammo, weapons, megas, RA's, YA's.. timing of these etc already makes the game far more complex

3) All CS weapons are simply hitscan weapons and yes there is skill in aiming in cs, Q3 has a variety of weapons each requiring a different sort of a skill to aiming entirely, for example compare aiming plasma to say a rocket launcher, or the grenade launcher, or shotgun. for each of the weapons there is a different method of aiming

4) In Q3 you dont simply use one weapon, you use a variety, each one of the weapons has its uses, making it was more entertaining than CS will ever be

5) Q3 is faster, and because of that dodging is a factor and yet another skill to be mastered, CS is more about reaction time and luck, in Q3 there is alot less luck, and even many of the top cs players in our country admit this infact they coin the phrase "CS luck" TM

Think about how that sounds to me? You're watching it for the aim, yet the aim doesn't matter. Aim is very important in cs, but it's not? You're going in contradictory circles.

Back to my main point, which is not the point of my ignorant foot servant greywolve (ie. cs vs q3) it was, why was this major? it's not a real cs game? It's like Cooller playing ffa with n00bs, not Cooller vs ZeRo4. I hit incredible shots playing Visor, does that mean I'm going to upload demos of myself? No, the value of the shots go up according to who your opponent is.

Yes, it comes down to a difference of views, because I would never say that cs had superior tactics, but I will say that cs players that I play in q3 have very good aim and very good awareness, their weapon switching(huge part of q3 tactics) isn't the best though
