This is a great movie. Truly captures the excitement of CTF, and shows some really impressive caps and frags.

some of the effects were a bit of a pain in the eyes but other then that, nice movie :)

Frags/Caps: 5/10 (I dont think it was that impressive, but ok!)
Music: 6/10 (Something else than drum'n'bass or screaming death metal for a change!)
Visual: 8/10 (At some points my eyes hurt from watching!)

Overall: 6.3/10


please stop making these big movies, 40minz downloading, 30minz watching and 570mb is just all too much!

i would download nearly every movie. if i could download 500mb in 40mins. for exmaple i had to wait 150mins until eye for an eye was on my hdd and after the first 2 minutes i removed it, thats kinda making me sad.

I agree. 800*600 is not necesseary. And 29 min takes as most about 350-400 mb in 640*480 with divx and good sound compressor.

And for me the movie is delayed compared with the sound. the sound came 1s before the actual scene during the whole movie.

Great editing and synching to the music (the footage was laggy, but I guess thats just onlineness).

But I would have enjoyed this much more if it was 5-10 minutes of very rare stuff, rather than adding a lot of medium quality scenes just to go with the music. The longer the movie runs, the less memorable each scene is...and when most of them are not amazing, the amazing ones fade.

Also, if you did 'following the tournament' or 'finals match' sections (as in CS movies like Oslo by Storm and MindtrekLAN), it would be much better - it would capture the tension, accentuate the skills of the players (because you see back-and-forth of the best teams, where even medium-quality frags are good because of the dramatic setting). CTF is objective-based, so it is ideal for this kind of narrative...the movie is named after the Tournament, but it looked like a very long random frag/cap collection.

I don't watch q3 movies too much so i'm not sure how much my vote counts, but it was pretty cool! I missed maybe some unsuccessful runs (carrier gets fragged 1m from home flag etc)..

Could you please release some snaps as stand alone wallpapers (some effects with pummel etc), they were quite OOOO :D

very well made movie with a nice mix of effects
smaller and with all the good frag scenes would have been alot better... some of the frags were just a let down for the quality of this movie imo

That noise or whatever schnitt used on some rail shot are really boring & the other blur/distord effect annoying me as hell on some part of the movie.
A lil bit too long (29mins), would be better if it was 10-15mins max.

BUT this is still great to me, it deserve to be burn on CD and worth the DL. (if your are ctf addicted, if not just pass your way)

For me it was worth the download, ok, some of the frags or caps weren't that impressive, but for me the effects and music/video synching is more important anyways :)
And i dont think it uses too much effects, but thats a matter of taste after all so no point in discussing that i guess :D

The visuals and editing were very well done. The most interesting part was definitely the eradicate cap. While a very nice movie visually... I thought it kind of failed to capture the excitement of the matches. Worth the download, nicely done.

yeh i really liked that one and mood's defence ;) (have to get my hands on that demo :P wanna verify :P)

Very entertaining movie. With most movies I find myself stopping/skipping about 5 minutes into this. Played straight through until the credits with this one. Awesome choices of music as well. Quite enjoyed the "white silence" and "hazy" parts.

On another movie related note, does anyone know the status of the Wansanity movie?

great movie - nice sound atmosphere, some impressive frags (not all) but in a few scenes you don't have to test all the graphiceffects of your programs

That's what you get when there are no textures found in a map :p

So just go delete all your q3 textures and it'll do that.

dont play q3 myself, but made 2 gamingmovies, and tbh, this is some real good editing, and because its so long, i expect it too be very very much work.

Wow, this movie is awesome! I've seen loads of excellent Quake movies lately and this one is definitely up there as one of the best. A bit long, maybe, but the effects used are some of the best I've ever seen.

9/10 I give it.
