So, earlier today my xbox one s stopped outputting video while I was playing a game. I swapped hdmi cables, tried different tvs, etc to no avail. eventually I got it to boot up into low resolution mode by holding power and eject, but whenever I switch the resolution to anything higher, there is no signal. I tried setting the override to hdmi, which has the same results, and to DVI in which i can set the resolution and it works but there are green lines and artifacts all over the screen which renders it almost unusable. Does anyone have any advice? I don’t really want to send my console in for repair, as it is likely out of warranty.

Something to consider is how did it break to begin with. Be careful to plug a new xbox into this TV as there is the slim unlikely possibility it is the TV causing the damage rather than xbox breaking on its own, unlikely but just a warning.
I have a hdmi TV that I hooked a 8600gt via converter from VGA > HDMI , and to top it off I pulled spdif from the motherboard to the 8600 so I also had sound coming through, well this combination seemed to blow something out and now every single port on the tv (from AV to VGA to HDMI) is all screwy. Every output causes the image to snow, and the computer usually crashes after 5 minutes connected to it. My beleif is that something has popped inside the TV and now there is a current leaking somewhere and getting onto all TV output connectors. So TV is ruined.
Unlikely but maybe worth to consider, that TV outputs can break this way and start leaking excess electrical current from its outputs that could in turn possble break equipment connected to it.
