Funny thing is that we never really had a problem with cheaters in Quake even though there is no anti-cheat. Of course there were cheaters but it was really small percentage.

If you take a look at CS:GO cheaters are really killing that game so much. It becomes your obsession that even when you lose to fair playing team and some of your enemies have a really good game you can't accept it because it's more likely that he is cheating.

So playing Quake or even Overwatch (where you don't meet cheaters as wel) is so much better in mental aspect.

Also in CS:GO you strongly rely on communication, so like 90% of people use mics. That let's you know other people playing the game and you come into sad conclusion how retarded huge fraction of gaming community is.

With Free 2 play it will only get worse...

Probably already most of the people who would purchase the game already did and the income for future years predicted to only be a fraction of what is already been taken in - so do the obvious and F2P that shit to bring in some new waves of players before you inevitably need to make a CS:GO 2 or something in the future.

The player base is not really declining that much. It is easier for the player to justify buying some keys/skins or whatever when the game was already free. Some might get 'hooked' and buy some more, others won't, but im pretty sure the money they used on developing danger zone is earned pretty fast.

in csgo you have drops, which means the game literally gives you money for free (because you can sell those case's and skins). And you dont have a store built in game but a steammarket where you buy stuff from other players. In QC you get drops too but you cant sell stuff you dont need or like. And you have to pay for such a stupid shit like possibility to change your nickname. I mean cmon...

As i said earlier, csgo wasnt designed to be f2p and was not for 6 years. They didnt make it f2p to make more money but to bring new players (add to it releasing battle royale mode which as everyone knows is atm most popular gamemode).

And yeah, ql doesnt have that but remember that ql was free before, where you actually had to pay them money to access certain things in game, like making own server etc. You had that premium and pro subscriptions.

csgo is not the bad guy here, you dont miss out on nothing if you dont spend money in game.
