Yes because reading "Click below for updates" and having an obvious indicator of when you're hovering over it is so hard.

It's not hard. But the design is bad because it doesn't follow any standard pattern. A website should not explain with words how to use it, especially not for something as simple as this. "Click below for updates", if you even read it, does not give any indication what you're supposed to be clicking on. The pictures themselves do not reveal that they are links unless you mouse over them. Clicking one of them does nothing at all because it is what is already displayed. I suppose they try to show that with the shading, but it is not obvious.

If it takes the average web user more than 5 seconds to figure out, it has failed.

well, yes, quake live stopped doing tourney, but, i saw the wiki of team liquid, they win "only" $36,216.

ofc he back to quake, when the prizrepool is so big and he can take more than $50,000 only for him.

but we know id, they keep saing to cover more esport for quake, but for now there is only quakecon, like quake live.
If they don't announce others "big" tourney, he will come back on overwatch for sure, what I would do if I was in him.

I am pretty sure that we will see QC for atleast 3 years(esl, dreamhack, sunday cups, other potential lans, quakecon - money to be won). Also most if not all quake pros have a lot better chance wining money in QC vs OW + bigger price pools per player (duel mode). Lastly, the game is not that bad, feels like quake. :)

The strange thing is that winz didn't play in the esl qualifier and is not on the roster of team-liquid on the esl page. I'm a bit surprised they can just add new people like that when the tournament is basically already in progress.
