Did you see what strenx did to <insert_a_name> with his lg in some QL game? Did you see what k1llsen did to <insert_a_name> with his rail? It only means they are skilled with their tools and their opponent is not.

I think it is just more the case of players not having time to adapt their game to this big change made immediately before the qualifiers. Some other players may have had Clutch in their mix already or had a lot of UT experience, and it would have advantaged them and given no one a chance to adapt to that.

Was the LG drastically changed two days before strenx did that? Nope. LG just had some damage changes with the years. Clutch went from weak to OP two days before a qualy for a 1 million tournament.

Players already using Clutch would benefit more than those who were not. Players who are adept at UT movement would benefit more than those who are not.

If it is two days before a tournament, and they just randomly change some champion in a big way, you can stick with what you have figured out and just practise that, thinking that you won't have time to learn the other champ anyway, and hope the new change doesn't mess with that too much, or you can take a risk and try to change your whole game at the last minute to incorporate that champ.

In general, I really don't think it is a good idea to be making big changes close to tournaments. It's just gonna randomize shit a lot.

You can always choose the same champs as your opponent, no one forces you to play the weak characters.

sideways only dodge is a good idea, that way clutch's movement would take some actual skill. You'd turn sideways and double tap to move forward but then you would be taking your eyes off where you are about to go, increasing the risk.

Also they fucking MUST do this for nyx. Nyx's lore is that when she disappears she enters another dimension right? Well in a nyx mirror match when they both fucking disappear at the same time, they should be able to see each other since they both entered the same dimension.

So whoever pops ghost walk vs another nyx isn't a get out of jail free card, that nigga can still hunt you down.

i say clutch is fine, like look at WichtL, on cooller's cup he has shown arguably best clutch usage so far and played insane series against Xron,
on the next day he was completely shut down by clawz during the esl thingy

CLUTCH is epic

It's super easy and bypasses the speed cap. I thought the whole point of these speed caps was to maintain the balance, but really all it does is cap the speed on people who want to strafe jump.

When that has been said, I don't really like Nyx' ult. Pretty boring how it's just a get out of jail card. Maybe only make her invincible for a sec or two and then just invisible for the remainder of the duration?

For me playing Clutch is awkward. I do unintended dodges every few seconds because I hit A/D keys a lot. It will be tough to get used to it.

I am pretty sure clutch will be nerfed. What I am not sure is, if he will be nerfed enough.

Clutch will be hard to balance he is still not that good in Sacrifice/TDM if you ask me, he gets hit constantly from every direction. It's in duel where he is too good imo.
He is very easy to hit tho and I think we should wait and see how it plays out, When I play against a Clutch I try to kit him as much as I can, keep my distance and rail him out but sometimes that's even hard cause he is so fast.
Good counters to Clutch in duel I think are Slash, Ranger, Anarki and Scalebearer.

I have this insane idea to introduce different sets of abilities for duel and team modes; or alternatively leave duel with no abilities.

I hope rather than nerfing every ability, the weaker champions get benefits that suit their core strengths instead.

Slash for instance could have better ground acceleration while crouchsliding, along with ramp jumping or wall sliding, would make her movement a lot faster.

Rather than making Galena faster, her runes could be better in some way, (maybe she could have runes that give map knowledge, slow people down/prevent jumping instead of doing damage, throw further, or more frequently), etc.

I'm hoping for some new champions eventually, like a Xaero with no movement sound and fast dodging/infighting (maybe his scorpion tail can do something?), and of course a Flavor Flav whose passive is a hud with clocks that time every item globally.

I also hope we get a character with the passive ability of breathing water, that'd be helpful.

I agree on the opinion that we should wait and see how it plays out. I've noticed that taking rail fights is the way to go against clutch, because he is a target with a size of a moon even on long ranges. Clawz vs Wichtl has been the best example how to deal with Clutch, in my opinion, although Clawz took down Wichtl relying only on railing, I think it's enough to hit 2-3 rails, before you can justify engaging close combat with an advantage.

Clawz could possible be the best player together with Cypher right now. Thus, I don't think he is a good example. He could probably counter even a champion with an aimbot. most players can't aim half as good as he does.

Even lesser players will hit Clutch more often than not due to his size, that's a fact. Argument of excellent aiming is null. Also, I haven't seen anyone being consistently good against Clutch close range, because that's his strenght. It's an example of strategy, not the player.
