It's interesting then, since I'm a SPACEBAR guy since the dawn of time, but figured I'll try it out on M2 with the Aurora, because of all the whine about it on the interwebz, and it just worked fine.

I don't want to defend him since he clearly fucked up, but what you said taints him further and that's not right. He has explicitly mentioned giving refunds first now as well as options of doing so.

Not the perfect solution either.

Assuming this time around he does give refunds (not very likely considering he does come back from time to time offering the same and never has given them), still if he was an honest man he would refund everyone that he didn't ship the mice to, without people needing to ask him for it. After over two years there's very few people that are aware of him coming back, that are going to ask for a refund.

He has the list of all "order status: pending" orders, with people's PayPal addresses. He's not doing that because he doesn't want to give refunds to everyone he didn't send the mice to.

And of course even if this time around, over two years after, he were to give refunds to people that ask him to, still that wouldn't make him a trustworthy man. I'm glad after the fiasco he left the Quake scene.

Have you contacted him yet? Make sure you get those $100 ASAP dude, don't let him disappear again. If it's worth anything, there's one guy who posted in that OCN thread saying he just got his refund.

Time will tell if he genuinely intends to make some amends this time. Gotta wait and watch the feedback for the next mouse whenever it comes out.

I actually liked the Aurora, pretty much pin point accuracy, I just couldn't get used to the m2 lag due to my weird config. I wasn't going to change 15+ years of perfect button layout to compensate for a broken m2.

If there was a re-release of this mouse, I'd definitely support it.

We can go into principles about it, but you're going to cry over $20 or w/e when you could've made direct contact with the seller to try and come to some sort of agreement, the lack of communication from both parties are to blame. It's not a one way street.

I directly ordered one ninox and didn't receive it, I then ordered another from Amazon and received it, I'm sure we've all lost a lot more money on other dumb shit, so I just brushed it off to be honest.

Since you registered after this whole thing started, I'll tell you what happened. Bst, a known and active Quake player, created a community mouse project that started here, not in overclock.net, in which everyone on this site provided feedback and ideas. The admins and pro players were involved in testing and in creating sponsored tournaments as well.

Then, one day he didn't ship the pre-orders and disappeared from here and from the Quake community. Just took the money and left with it, and with our trust.

Therefore, it's not only about the money. It's mostly about him being an asshole.

I know about the whole rise and fall to bst, if you were that worried about the product, you could've kept pestering him whilst he was still rather active. So I'm not saying it's your fault, it's fault just being so lackadaisical about the scenario.

Think of it this way, you've given someone $80 - A good investment for them to fuck off and not return, I guess I'd happily pay that for people who I don't want to be in my life.

Awesome, have been happily using the Ninox Aurora for a long time now, though it does have it's flaws.

I hope he learned from his mistakes and manages to deliver a better product.
