Just ignore it.

That setting is for servers to change the weapons all players spawn with, you'd need a space, and also to do it after loading a map with a game mode.

Game modes set what weapons everyone starts with, unless it's a server with loadouts enabled (ugg) everyone always starts the same as everyone else.

I did but in the end, only a minigun shows up.

It's for servers, as in, if you're not running the server it doesn't do anything.


If you joined a game through the match browser, then you're not the one running the server.

play - > start a match will start a local server, by default in offline mode so no one else can join. if you want it to be online you would have to configure port forwarding to your machine on your router.

/map campgrounds ffa (starts a local server on campgrounds in ffa mode, using whatever the current online/offline setting via sv_serverType is) - same as above, just quicker with the console.

F3 - warmup always has all the weapons that are on the map available, so you wouldn't see the change until it's started.

once you respawn you'd see the change, and spawn with only LG.

If you're joining a game via the match browser then you cannot change this, as they're not your servers to change.

Well then you obviously can't give yourself weapons like that, it would be unfair. You can pick them up like the other players or join servers where you have everything on spawn (such as Clan arena servers). Join different servers and experiment. Have fun!

To use other guns without having to pick them up go into FFA or CA gamemodes. FFA has loadouts so you can pick which 2 weapons you want and CA is a round and team based gamemode in which you start with all weapons every round.

I don't know of any server using loadouts in FFA.
