a suggestion: change the format. the season finals have different format and the results aren't as predictable, it's more fun to watch. it's time to shake it up.

Okey but how do you want to change it? Winner looser brackets and this system like it is at this moment is the best I know. It isn't really a problem we have predictable finals each time Agent vs Evil because this game doesn't have random factor like in some other games. These guys are simply the best at this moment and nobody can touch them. Its like in street fighter and other 1v1 high level games where the best guys are the best. Ofcourse its more enjoyable to watch game like starcraft where the weaker guy might have a chance surprise opponent by some cheeky build and take victory quickly because build order win but thats why I love quake honestly. When you are better you just win and nothing can come across your way. Sure there is some luck involved because games without luck wouldn't be that fun but in quake its all about skill because even if you are 100% luck for 10minuts you won't win with evil right?

ye and it wasn't based on luck. I just did better once and since its bo1 upsets are possible although I don't think at this moment I can beat evil in bo3 even if we play 10 times bo3. Thats the beauty of the game where the better player just wins. He underestimated me once and he won't do it again :)

Still luck exist, but as you say - a lot less dominant and especially in bo3 won't help you that much if you don't play just good. Alsp let's not relate luck to hiting shots as they are not luck based, but skill/moment condition related and depends on you and only you. You move the crosshair, you press the fire button and there is no luck in that. Just game/day where you aim/predict aim better than your normal day.

maybe bo3 isn't great for grand finals and wb finals?

they tend to play the same maps but in season finals they have to play other ones and that changes things.

finals of weekly cups are almost always agent vs evil and evil wins. that's predictable.

season finals however don't end with this result every time.

I would like to see the weekly cups changed to monthly cups. 4x prizepool and not seeing the same players battling every week would make it more special, exciting and less predictable. Although it's nice to have weekly cups to make sunday evenings less shitty, but then again there's often another afps cups at the same time.

Here are a bunch of reasons why that excuse is horse shit.

1) VAC bans in waves. his account had to be flagged several weeks in advance for him to get banned.

2) He was playing with evil just hours before the ban, for someone to time perfectly so he can finish his games against evil, hack his account and then get him banned is just impossible because of how vac works.

3) Why would anyone bother hacking bases account and getting him banned in whatever game he was banned in. Why would they also bother in trying to hide his old names by spam changing and then put his account on private only AFTER he got banned?


If you people are believing this bullshit i would like 100€ from each and every one of you or the world will blow up, also i am a nigerian prince and will repay you back, promise!


Just accept that he cheated and is now trying to cover it up with some lame excuses. The only reason he even got to play 125fps is because he is russian. If it were anyone else they would have insta-banned that person no questions asked, instead they let a potential cheat with a recorded VAC ban with extremely strange circumstances surrounding it play.

Also why are people surprised that he is cheating? It's like you people forget what happened to lan proven pros that have everything to loose in csgo not that long ago. So why would it be such a stretch for people to be cheating in ql where there is literally nothing to loose right now?

Fuck do i care if base cheated or not, sure i will live if somebody proves it solidly, but nobody did for the moment, because ppl gets banned and unbanned here and there.

It just seems very unlikely to me that he cheated, because he's lan-proven (he won number of games against evil and pavel on moscow lans), never shown anything suspicious online and at the end Sasha's just not that kind of guy, he is, like, really positive dude who spent many time getting good at old game that he loves and doing different fun stuff for the community, all these videos and stuff. He's very normal and healthy person, not some no-life maniac, why would he even seek an unfair advantage in the dead game where he's good enough already? It not like he suddenly started to win everything or boosted his results significantly, or, what, he cheats to get 4th place, not 5th? What's the profit?

Just to clear out the Base talk - he didn't cheat and his acc WAS actually stolen, that's 100% sure and confirmed on different streams by many Russian pros who know him personally.

This cheat-chat about high-level pros always arises among simple-minded crowd, who just trying to find excuses for why other guys are so much better than them.

Base is a fucking oldskool beastly player, he does his games clean and mean, and he's doing it good.

2) If he cheat in other game we don't have the right to bash him/ban him. Not cool, true... it's bad, but only if he cheated into quake live he should be banned
