afaik winz is using g303 inside g100s shell. dunno his dpi settings tho

linkin was using g100s, clawz using zowie fk but also saw wmo on his pad later in the tournament, cypher using salmosa but don't know dpi - he said his wmo died 1 month before qcon and he only had a salmosa to play with. dahang still on zowie fk, 421 used g100s, 3/4 of ghost squad used g100s with the last player using logitech g3. zyrinx was using a g100s as well

I wonder if he played the pre quakecon with the WMO or the salmosa? Because he looked absolutely unstoppable at the pre quakecon - maybe he peaked too soon and was on a downer for the actual event. I was certain he'd smoke everyone after seeing the pre quakecon - especially considering how he's usually better on LAN than line.
Saying that, I doubt he'd have played with a different mouse to the one he used at Quakecon so close to the main event.

From what i read, he must have played the pre quakecon on the salmosa, too. His wmo should have died a month before qcon.

Based on a response in a previous thread Avenged uses a low dpi (unknown at this time). Apparently prior to using his config we must master the art of pleasuring ourselves as according to vibration:

"He's all accel. Like he swings his arm around at like 900 mph or else he can't do anything."

As for kgb I'm assuming is 400-800 based on his settings unless someone else has any additional information.

I think that what decides if you can use it or not is if you like to play with the wrist on the mousepad or not.
I kinda need a slight slope on a mouse to control it properly, so this shape doesn't work for me.

I've always been interested in trying one of these but they just seem to small for my larger than average hands. Abyssus is as small as I care to go. WMO currently despite using/trying about 7-8 mice over the years. Not really tried any of the near ones other though, Zowie EC2? (the smaller of the 2 - EC1/EC2) is as new as I've tried. Tempted at a Abyssus 2k14. Tempted at a Aurora although I fear they're too small like the G100. Love some of the latest sensors but as a whole package the WMO is my preferred weapon.

I never tried the aby but the g100 is bigger than the salmosa.
It's smaller than the wmo on paper but as there's no slope to rest the hand at the back they actually feel bigger in hand. And as only half the palm is on the mouse and the wrists lays on the mat, it locks a lot less the wrist and gives you more freedom to move it around. (That doesn't work for me, i need a little lock else i lose precision on small movements.)
Other way is to full palm it with the whole hand on the mouse but as it is quite high it is uncomfortable

I think:
If you fingertip your wmo (wrist on pad); you should try the g100s
If you clawpalm or palm your wmo (wrist almost on mouse) you should try the new zowie ZA (or the Aby 2014 but razer + quality + synapse bullshit... the mouse should be good but still a razer). (A bit unsure about that since you don't like the EC2)

don't go FK (bad weight distribution, too heavy) or kana V2 / kinzu v3 (retarded sensor position, clic latency)

OR
Unless you plan on using win 10, just stay with wmo, if you're used to it you will probably not find better.
And buy a spare for when it lets you down

i'd say the main reason it's still its cheapness. So many people tried it out because even if you don't like it it's only a third of the price of some other high tier mice, and sticks with it.

edit: obviously if it wasn't also a decent mouse overall nobody would be using it

Logitech really should make a simple mouse based on the g100s, with the 3366 sensor and grippier sides and a grippier scroll wheel, and no god-damned christmas tree lights inside. Most modern mice look like they're designed to have a low radar cross-section, rather than be useful as a mouse
