My opinion is the percentage and amount of impressives don't mean much. On paper that is "good aim". In some of my matches I've handicapped myself and reached ~50 impressives. These are times when my rail is extraordinary and have been accused before of toggling, but what matters is how the rails connect, how strange or unbelievable they are. A good cheater can mask his cheating and may not be caught for a long time or ever so it's all very difficult. Bottom line if you really believe someone is a cheater don't play with them.

I decided not to play him any longer. But lol i am not sure he is a cheater this is why i didn't wrote a mail to support@idsoftware.

For me his accuracy is not normal. But usually it is easy rails.
Maybe i should stop to play that game. This is like playing chess online (you never know if 100 % is human moves).

His aim is better than his FFA skill that's for sure. His movement is lacking, his timing is nonexistent and I really don't believe he's cheating. If you notice nearly every rail shot he is either jumping or strafing to the left or to the right. Someone who is botting wouldn't need to do that. He's jumping or strafing in one direction to simplify the shot which is something a human would do. I don't know your skill but I think with some practice you could easily defeat him in FFA. He's relying on powerups for most of his frags. Try to deny the quad and time the red armor and you should be able to beat him. Before loadouts were a thing you could have made it hard for him to get the railgun but now you can spawn with one most maps. I know for a fact I'd beat him. I'm not great at FFA but good enough to have a ~75% win percentage. He's under 30% so I suggest you just take my advice and start beating him regularly.

He is winning more than 50 % of FFA games nowdays.

I am not complet beginner. My (supposed) FFA Rating is 2465 elo with 169 games played. 61 % of wins. 52% accuracy with rail.
But come on, he is so far better than me with that gun. It is humiliating to be railed by this guy.

Good play beats good aim all the time. If you are consistently getting armors his chances are not as good. If you challenge him for quad he is less likely to have a good run. Try getting quad and using shotgun or lightning. Seems like him beating you has crippled your mental game a little. Trust me he looks pretty vulnerable many times in demo. With less armors and less powerups he will have a much harder time winning. Anyway good luck.

I'm assuming he started to get good at FFA (with rail) only quite recently ? That could just be some try hard dude who's just playing a lot and his practice method finally paid off after all these years playing quake, at least in FFA.

~3000 FFA games and ~3000 CA. 2.5+ months of time played. Started to play in 2010. I play a quite a lot and i only have 3+ months of time played. But i started playing quakelive in 2008... So yeah he's playing a lot.

~60% rail is possible in FFA tbh, especially on pub servers. I mean he's probably just a rail whore that figured out how to use the rail efficiently in FFA. Ok I have to admit 79% is a bit suspicious tho. But i did not watch the demo.

He hardly has a 'k1llsen rail'. K1llsen plays with much better opponents who can dodge and he doesn't play FFA. If K1llsen was to play in this game, I would expect to see at least 80 percent rail.

I banned a FFA guy last week. The guy was using rail ONLY. But i noticed after 2 or 3 games he started hitting very hard with the rail, 60%+, then i died a few times but still wong by a very high marging, then he switched to LG and guess what : 80%+ LG :D

HE does not know how to strafe, he accused me of cheating. I noticed a lot of cheater are cheating because they think others are cheating too.

Nontheless other players defended me and saw he was cheating, i sent the demo to idsoftware and he got banned within 2 days.

The amount of TOTAL noobs using aimbot and rail only in FFA is quite high this days. They still manage to lose tho :D

Not cheating, at least in this video. You can see how he's varying him mouse movement trying to predict opponent's position (wich usually is walking forward or backward, btw), the way he misses some easy rails, how he syncronize movement with aiming to stabilize it, etc.

Comparing to that, it is easy to get 50+ rail acc. I am total tdm noob, i have negative rating(!!!) and yet on some pickup games I get up to 60% rail acc. It really is that easy.

31 % is clearly nothing, except if you play 1v1 and guys like k1llsen are close to 40 %.

And lightning is more easy than rail.

Doing sometime 37 % with lg is normal (his last games).
Not doing close to 60 % all the time now with rail.

If you play your first quake's year with total noob setting (most of all something like 4cm sens) it's quite easy to have 20% lg acc and 35% rail, beacuse with rail you can take flick shot. Then you improve but it's not so strange that the difference remains pretty the same.
In my account I have 32% lg and 43% rail but I play 4k ca and 1k ffa, spooky2 2.8k ca and 3.3k ffa and in ffa it's easier to hit rail.

Plenty of people have high accel/high sens setups that make railing really easy at the cost of lg being a little tougher.

From that video posted he just looks like a typical strafe aimer against players with poor dodge, which is ideal for someone like him who doesn't seem to mouse aim well. You can see plenty of situations in the video when his reliance on strafe aim causes him to miss shots a lot of people would consider easy. He doesn't make any streaks of difficult shots, he LG's people who are in terrible situations and, assuming they even knew how to, wouldn't be able to dodge him, the times people do try to dodge he misses a fair amount.

Most cheaters have a style of aim that is completely disconnected from their movement, this guys aim is completely sync'd with his movement, after all that's how strafe aim works and he's a prime example of it. If he does cheat, the video doesn't show it.

Let me put it this way, IF he is cheating he still has huge holes in his game and can be easily beaten. You could hit 100% rail in FFA and still lose because it's not a railing competition. Collect your armor(s), get your powerup(s), get your frags and win. Although he is getting quad every time his timing for it is bad, he is sitting on it for over 5 seconds waiting and on any decent server he'd be punished hard for that. No one is even challenging him for it so the server is low skill.

Don't accuse unless you have solid evidence. You clearly have no idea what you're looking for. Try to find if he is hitting the same part of the hitbox every time and the speed his crosshairs snap to a target. If that's not there then you look for wallhack. It's super difficult to spot a cheat most of the time even if you know what you're looking for. Don't waste your time on this unless you're developing an anticheat. Just focus on playing and improving your own skills, and trying to find out how you can play in this way. Your time would be much better spent practising or trolling.

I've just flicked through the YouTube video and that spooky guy is playing god awful payers. They barely move and will be extremely easy to hit. I don;t see anything out of the ordinary, or even particularly special about the video - just a run of the mill FFA game.

The high rail accuracies were not versus "anyone". They were against low skill players that barely move. On the video, half of the players weren't even looking directly at him when they got railed.

85 days is plenty of time to get to state whereby you can reliably rail low skilled players - which the video clearly demonstrates. It's run =of the mill FFA play - I saw nothing to that was overly special or our of the norm.

Another reason he got frags was, wait for it .... because he timed quad. No one else on the server seemed to be doing that. Pretty advanced FFA stuff right there.

For the record, I haven't played Quake for over 2 years now.

I don't think that 'ridiculous' is the right term. But the debate doesn't make much sense in any case; we simply have no way of (accurately) distinguishing carefully used cheats from actual, legit skills.

Personally I am convinced that there is quite a bit of cheating going on, from LAN proven (ex-)professionals to no-name low tier players. Only the ones who fuck up frequently and obviously are caught, but we can do nothing about the occasional aim-assist, trigger bot or toggle.

If you're frequently missing easy rails and always jumping/strafing when you're shooting then the likelihood of a bot being used is low. It's just not typical but it doesn't rule out cheating altogether. If this guy is cheating there are more serious and more blatant cases elsewhere. Out of all the current cheaters needing a ban I'd say Spooky is low priority. What threat is a cheater if the cheater can be easily beaten? He plays the role of a player who sometimes wins tier 3 FFA shit better call syncerror.
