You probably have an item that is fucked up. Some are unsupported since the steam update. I had the issue on the player location indicator that won't work anymore and prevent any item coming after to draw as well. You can guess which item fucks the rest by determining which is the last drawn item.

It is also possible to happen if you have too many items but quite frankly you'd have to be extreme with your hud then as I think the limit was quite high.

The hud is fox's hud with a small modification, so it should load, it doesnt.

Steam cloud only loads up config files (i.e. autoexec.cfg/name.cfg files) it will not download or send HUDS through Steam cloud.

He's saying nothing of the sort, are you fucking dense? this only means that you need to copy your old .menu file into the steam QL folder by yourself, where your cfg is located as well. then your cfg needs a cg_hudfiles line that points to said file (or to a different cfg file which then again points to your .menu file).

Right, because the only thing Steam saves is just a config file and not the hud.

hud's work the same in steam as in standalone.

It's just that Steam just doesn't back them up in the cloud so you need to manually copy them into the right folder for any steam install you try to play from.

\Steam\SteamApps\common\Quake Live\[b]<SteamID64>[b]\baseq3

is the baseq3 folder for steam installs, you use that in exactly the same way as the old standalone baseq3 folder.
