Not sure how it could have happened, I'd love to see the source demo, but the player somehow passed through the trigger obviously (much like can happen at times in fog pits, avoiding the trigger_hurts).

I've updated the map so that the trigger_teleport extends into the lolbox of pain that you're not supposed to be able to stand in, so that this can't continue to happen. Obviously a per-map bandage, but it will keep it from happening.

Don't remove funny / interesting things, pls.

It can happen if u push vid_restart right as u go through that teleporter

Got confused by the red armor on T4 :S

The visual style didn't fit the Sundance movie style music.

The visuals call for something psychedelic or electronic.
The music calls for realistic looks, with a calm color tone.

I liked both by the way, they just didn't fit together.

didn't like the config at all, couldn't focus on frags even.. sry, 0 from me.

The theme (atmosphere I mean) of the movie didn't work imo.

But bonus points for cool LG beam, ,t9, and ending scene on hektik :D wth?!?

Why 10 or 0?

So original, really liked the image (somewhat reminiscent of Fucking French Frogs?) and the song was pretty powerful I guess, it all worked surprisingly well. Frag on pavel_ was a beast, also.

End was funny :D

Actually enjoyed the softer music and thought it suited it well, the cfg i dont ever care about, and the frags were mostly pretty good. I really like the way you seemingly move your mouse, looks smooth and nice, much better than my somewhat erratic movements!!! Good frag video, 7.5/10 but im very hard to impress!

Could've been perfect if you had thought the cfg a little bit more through. Just b/w wouldÄve really fit the atmosphere.

Liked the music, it gave a unique atmosphere for the movie, but those colors were ruined it for me, why not only black and white, with a colored enemymodel? :(.

I thought about that too (comment #67). I believe that the movie works precisely because the focus is NOT on the player models.

There's a melodic flow to the frags, almost a meter. The melees and combat serve the purpose of the music, not the other way around. So for me, (unlike esdf -- 0? really?) the minimal color palette works given a certain goal, imo.

I liked the music, the frags were very nice, but those red patches everywhere just destroyed my sight completely. So please, pay for the bill of the surgery.

Anyways, I agree with dash, black and white with colored enemy model would have been much better.

All in all, I still liked it.

amazing frags - suprising for me that, I've never seen you play before!. Enjoyed it. Also, I liked almost everything about the config. The resolution was the only thing, I didn't like.

Nope

There's a sneaky moment, about five seconds after the movie ends, when without warning my reaction slowly begins to form, then rapidly into full-blown expression: "WHOA! THAT was an amazing frag movie!"

slimk shows mature restraint here and thematic consistency -- every camera angle and pan, player models' choreography(in a sense), color palette, soundtrack -- all of it quietly coming together in a surprisingly profound but comical conclusion.

And "Calm" is more than just a word here. slimk introduces each player and his name without flashy punch or camera drama(cliché by now) and restrains himself from using nauseating projectile povs or gib zooms.
slimk also cleverly inverts the role of soundtrack and frag content; instead one can make a good case that he's actually making a music video consisting of thoughtful frag scenes! This technique only works if he uses a great song, which he thankfully does.

Lastly, I think by virtue of the music and theme slimk chose, using black&white was his ONLY option. The warm red and yellow glowing blotches are like musical notes written on the walls moving the song and action together until the notes soften and end leaving the player model staring into the telly, a mirror really while the other player isn't moving. And there you are, the viewer looking too. First self-aware frag movie?

I loved the music, would have been better if it was the instrumental though then you added some inspirational talk over the top.

black and white would have been OK but that red colouring ruined it.

the frags looked like they were great but sadly the red blobs on the walls sometimes retracted from it.

looking forward to a #2 without the red stuff
