Cypher has used it. Twister uses it. DaHanG uses it.

I think it has minimum acceleration built in, but it's not as much as the Sensei or Kinzu for example. I don't notice it much when I use mine but I'm also used to a little accel. Some people will claim it's a bad sensor but I have never experienced jittering, negative acceleration or hitting max speed :)

Kana V2 has all issues fixed., the old V1 had some issues on QCK pads.

Anything above 800 DPI used to be jittery but it was fixed with latest firmware.

The pixart sensor is not "bad" as in flawed, but it feels different and takes some time getting used to.
Yes it has some prediction, varies from mild to annoyingly high depending on your firmware.

Dahang is using it and his aim is superb with it, rapha liked the shape and overall feel of the mouse, all in all if you don't notice deviations your mouse is just fine.

No, you don't need an avago sensor to play a game, there's a lot of sensors on the market and just because it's not 3090 it doesn't mean you bought the wrong product.

Besides, a sensor won't tell you the whole story - there's different switches, different lenses used, different DPI steps, different PCB - a sensor is NOT the final product.

Lots of mice share the same sensor but feel completely different due to stuff I mentioned above.

Just give it a shot, honestly if the sensor isn't faulty it all boils down to shape and what feels comfortable to use. Don't be so pedantic about sensors.

I didn't get the mouse yet I bought it online. If I tried it I wouldn't ask. Also what issues does the kana v1 have with qck+. I have a colored qck+. Also I got the v1 not the new v2 which does have the avago 3090.

Some users over at overclock.net reported jittering on qck heavy, don't remember anyone complaining specifically about qck+

get the latest firmware update for the V1 and you should be fine - honestly if the mouse is already ordered give it a shot and don't listen to internet smartasses that will find an "issue" with just about ANY mouse on the market. There's always this one guy who doesn't like it and his opinion shouldn't cloud your judgement.

Just get V2? They made the 2nd version for a reason lulz

Didn't use it for long but my main issue with the Kana is that the side buttons have hardly any shell space beneath them, so I was always clicking them by accident in higher stress moments, which, when you have binds set to said buttons, can be really disruptive.

I've had one and on the qck was perfect.
It's an ok mouse. Sensor doesn't mean shit because it might just feel weird as all sensor issues were fixed with the firmware

"pixart shit" <-- It's these comments that create threads like this. Have you tried the Pixart sensor? I think it works well in the Kana v1. I personally like the mouse.

Have mice always had some form of 'issues' or are people just more anal about it nowadays?
I don't seem to remember having all these in depth, technical threads in the earlier days.

Au contraire - modern (commonly recommended) mice are built from ground up to be the "ideal" product, there's just much more variety sensor wise and the whole mouse aficionado movement was never that big. Technology wise, all commonly recommended pointing devices on the market share similar components.

Old mice had noticeable flaws like skipping sensors, horrible tracking, unresponsiveness, shabby switches and so on, but give me any commonly recommended mouse and I'll find a preppy guy in his mid 30ies bashing it whilst tipping his fedora to his atheistic mouse choice.

The kana v1 has zero angle snapping at 800dpi, at least the one I got when I move the mouse across the screen it wobbles up and down just like all my other mice. I had a g500s that broke. I was able to turn angle snapping on with the g500s and that didn't wobble at all.

why didn't you buy the kana V2 ?

It was 70 bucks on amazon. Which to me is way over priced for the kana v2. But I was thinking about getting the rival, but it does weigh about 25 more grams mabey a little more. Anyway I just got confused somehow and thought the kana had an avago 3090.

the kana V1 is an ok mouse, but compared to the v2 it's way worst

v1 sensor is not the worst sensor ever, but the v2's 3090 is just much better

lol. It's better than my ime 3.0. With the ime 3.0 I was getting negative accel almost every time I turned around. I couldn't get the kana to malfunction. Also the way I test for a malfuntion speed is going into practice match in quake without bots. Then I set my sensitivity to .05 or less depending on dpi. Fix my crosshair to something on the map then move the mouse from one side of my mousepad to the other side and then very quickly move it back to the other side. I have tested 3 mice and the kana is the only one that hasn't malfunctioned doing this test.

never liked the steelseries mice. hard mouse clicks and the whole mouse felt crappy. stiff mouse cord too. yuck

I feel like there's a lot of other problems going on that you address before obsessing over your mouse. Quite frankly I don't give a shit about sensors or angle snapping or built in accel or other million features and I play just fine and my aim is quite stable with the IE 3.0. I do remember that when I switched between mice long ago I was quite shit because I'd constantly be going from one feel to another feel. Almost like being a config whore. Just pick one and work with it. No point in wasting $100s over stupid gaming marketing shit that's god awful anyways.

Lol. I never said I was good and I don't think a good mouse is going to make me good. The ime 3.0 is a pretty good mouse, but I had some trouble with it and its not just me I can plug it in and test for negative accel and it will annually stop tracking completely for a brief moment. I don't have your computer or mouse pad so I don't know if it would happen with your mouse. With the kana I can test for it and it won't happen. So now I will try to get better. If you want to get better I would gladly duel you on a regular basis. Also ca is more of my game than duel I have been dabbling in it for a while now but never really committed to it. I can time well and that's pretty much it. Still need to get a good understanding of when to take fights and when to run. Watching a game I understand when to take fights and when to run but I have difficulty judging the enemy stack while in game.
