wheres the FK?

besides being a personal preference chart (which by definition can't be absolutely true) there are a few omissions/mistakes here and there:

-the zowie FK is on par if not better than the AM (unless you've put it into the "shit tier" for its colour; if that's the case i couldnt agreemore)
-you aren't taking weight into account: it's a feature that most players consider before buying a mouse
-you aren't taking shape into account: see above
-prediction isn't a "fairly serious issue", rather a personal one

in short, it's a personal preferences list which can't be posted as an absolute truth as you did (lots of good players playing with "bad tier mice" as you put them for example), since the quality of the sensor alone isn't enough to pinpoint the quality of a mouse

then again, given the amount of pointless threads you've created in such a short time, i guess i'm just an idiot to fall for this

a good mouse chart should show flaws, weight, sensor, shape, etc.

It's anachronic. Some years ago very few mice were actually good for gaming, but nowadays it's more about personal preference really. For example the AM, ec1 evo and ec2 evo are as good as the FK.

The chart is biased towards low lod, plastic, small if possible, right handed shape, low sens, driver less, as little prediction as possible (all mice have it), no in-built accel, low weight, simple, etc.; all of which are a matter of personal preference, not necessarily making them objectively better than the rest.

Another example is 4chan's shit tier list. I'd gladly use a kinzu, g9x (c'mon it has a song about it) and the mx518, all of which are as good as the rest above them, just with some aspects the 4chan guy didn't like. Actually, had he went for the objective route then the abyssus and savu have no place above the former.

ye, i agree. i just throwed a couple of possible categories which do not necessarily mean a mouse is better or worse than another one.
every player should decide the weight of each category for choosing a mouse.
anyway, one should think quite a lot about the information he should put in his chart (without having a useless 50-coulmns excel file).

No you understood me wrong, people who were using optical mice at the time had crappy accuracy because of those parameters, which made the gap smaller,but yes his aim was great, though by the time cpma came along or maybe a few years earlier he switched to optical and a ball mouse couldn't really do the work intended with servers running at sv_fps 40, cg_laghax -1, and xerp.

Bad list.

Anyone taking this tier lists seriously doesn't have a fucking clue about mice, and this comes form someone who doesn't know much either.

Kinzu v2 pro is godlike

It sure is! Slightly too small and slightly too low MF speed for me though :/

I get bored with a cfg very fast so i change everything from 10cm for 360 to 40cm for 360, kinzu v2 pro worked flawlessly on all of them you just need to raise the dpi to 800 for really low sens... high sens did no problem whatsoever. ss qck heavy.

Had same setup, anyways switched to Kana. Same sensor, different lens and bigger shape :)

I originally wanted the kana but the black one was nowhere to be found... xD

so kinzu it was. Luckily for me, it's perfect.

I just got a kinzu v2 (non pro version). I was put off the v2pro because of the glossy surface, even though I'm sure I would have liked the omron switches.

So far I don't have any of the low malfunction speed problems. I did update the firmware when I got it though.

I am able to make it malfunction if I run it at 3200 cpi and turn really fast, but it appears that I very rarely, if ever turn this fast.

So WTF is wrong with the Sensei? I haven't been keeping up with gaming mouse development. I'm trying out the Raw, BTW.

Probably just heavy, not sure about the sensor.

One thing though, this 'frost blue' version they have, even if the sensei itself is not so good I have to say is one fine looking mouse!

For starters, requiring lack of prediction and no built-in accel is personal preference and not some objective measurment of mouse quality.

I like my prediction, leave me alone. Av3k still plays on Salmosa (has prediction), Strenx learned to depend on Kinzu's accel. Apparently those can be features, not problems.

And yet on the top of the list there's Zowie with their hard buttons.

Logitech M100 - Worst POS ever... can't aim at all with it - skips every time you swing it beyond a certain speed. After all its only £9.99 and cheap Logitech mice are truly the worst you can buy.

also, I got razer da black edition, why should it be worse than the razer da 2013. Actually I consider Rubber finish an improvement compared to a plastic finish, but maybe that's just me ...

I'm not buying anything more from Razer because of the spyware they make people install, but hardware-wise, as long as they keep making DeathAdders and Abyssuses, they haven't dropped the market of educated Quakers.

I guess if I actually ignored the spyware and bought a Razer product again, they're probably still better mice than Zowie (buttons) and Steelseries (sensors).

Razer is supporting quake, so while i wont ask you to lie, you could at least show some chivalry towards them.

No offense bro... but Razer is basically a copycat company that copies other companies designs (mainly Microsoft) and just makes the product worse... with their (mainly) jittery IR sensors and poor build quality and overpricing and over-hyped packaging its easy to see how many dumb fools think that Razer is the best company in the world. The fact is however not only are most of their products more expensive they are also worse than Logitech and Microsoft counterparts.

TL;DR Microsoft and Logitech are the best, Razer sucks for the most part. So does SteelSeries but Razer even more so because of their poor build quality.

Only thing worth getting are the pads (QcK, Goliathus) and Razer Deathadder. When it comes to keyboards and mice generally speaking just stick to reliability brands (Microsoft, Logitech).

Only the more expensive Razer mice have a good built quality and features it seems... the lower end mice of Razer usually have serious quality issues.

A good abyssus is a great mouse but its the luck of the draw... if you get one that jitters then its a piece of shit.

Comfort Mouse 6000 - this mouse hasn't received much attention and I think it should since its tracking and comfort is phenomenal.

The Razer DA, which shares a similar shape and design, is probably better in regards to gaming grade specs: 1000 Hz ultra-polling, 6400 DPI sensor which is far more than a standard 800-1000 DPI mouse.

However for the price, nowadays, I think the Comfort Mouse 6000 is definitely one of the better mice available - the patented BlueTrack technology is very smooth and works anywhere - even on a glass table!

id be more interested in that Basic optical mouse, plain and simple.

So how does the sensei fairs up in that list?
