Maybe they'll return? There's not too much to cast though lately. I mean, regarding big tournaments, we are at 2 per year, both taken by FaceIt.

I absolutely love the way FaceIt is trying to bring professionalism to Quake. It truly matters and we need it. However, with that said, that VOD is hilarious and another aspect of why Quake is so awesome. The pros are all joking around, it's light, it's fun.

It isn't CoD rage kids spazzing out at each other and sponsors having to drop them for being retarded. Quake's all class...

I think 2gd found a good balance with thegdstudio. Their production is on another level (compared to our standards) and he still is talking shit all day long.

Yeah, Trance did a ton of work streaming at most of the big events. I'm very grateful for the amount of dedication with that, the quality of their streams was usually really good.

lvl casting was the best there is. calm, analyzing plays, giving them time to playout... everyone else i just hate, that constant dribble, explaining to me every obvious step they take, every shot...

I wish DHW13 coverage was as fun & human (for lack of a better word) as this.. The casting & all that was fine but no post-game interviews, zero coverage of the player area and no player banter at all was a huge disappointment for me.

stream what? since you left, competitive tdm has been dying and its pretty much dead now. not much hope left, especially after id decided to stop support for linux which meant the people interested in reviving it cant even play anymore

not enough leagues/cups, no coverage, teams disbanding and clan players quitting, pickup players not moving into clans etc.

i was trying to setup a new league for the spring with a weekly timeslot & show, but since id announced the standalone version of QL and dropping support for linux, basicly half the admin staff for the league cant even play ql anymore :( so that idea is pretty much dead aswell

and lvl^ also played a huge part in tdm being alive, its understandable you dont have the time anymore but it was a cornerstone of the tdm community.

prague was a huge success but that's the nature of team based special events, and 1 week later it's like it never happened (online team activity wise)

was also planning to set up a league for next year, got the site designed (with help of super koziol) and only thing left was to make the site work. now it ain't gonna happen cuz no linux.

That's good to hear, I kind of stopped watching this year besides Dreamhack and QuakeCon.

dis/vor and 2gd/joe were absolutely the best casting duos for quake. I love what FaceIt has done for the scene, but if I'm being honest the casting is not nearly at the level of those I just mentioned. I don't mean to be rude but the times I occasionally watch FaceIt, I often end up muting the stream and just watch without audio.
