Watch this before you go. Why go to that part of the world though.

I'm more and more interested by the old USSR area, that's why. I already know the southern part of Europe (Portugal, Spain and Italy) and I've also been to Norway, Sweden and Poland.

Besides, I want to visit these countries (I plan on going to Russia and Belarus too one day) because a lot of people think they are bad locations full of primitive retards living in a shameful poverty with tyrants at the head of the state.

I'm tired of all that shit medias and uninformed people tell me about these places and I'm sure people there are great. At least I'll see by myself and learn some things.

I've been to the USA when I was younger too, don't be jealous :p.

We don't think like that in france. It's not UK here yet... Russia always had love for France.

And if you realy want to visit countries that receives massive propagand against by our shity media then you can visit Venezuela or Iran which are both trurhfuly awesome coutries. And people there still have respect for what was France.

Anyway, if you live in France you know Russia / Belarus / Ukraine (especially Russia, the other ones are just being completely unheard of...) don't have good press. And some people very well share that opinion.

Of course fortunately a lot of French don't think that way too.

Yeah its worth a watch, I saw it at the cinema and did not feel hard done by.

If you like the theme of a the movie you have at least a 50% chance of liking it IMO.

surely go to Chernobyl since it ain't far, but Kiev itself doesnt have that many really interesting places to see, though it's a pretty beautiful city overall
maybe visit Cyberarena as the biggest european esport center, pretty cool place idd

Kiev is the best choice to get feel of Soviet capitals. It's beautiful, green, monumental and historical. Moscow is too poluted, Minsk isn't that monumental and as small as other ex-ussr capitals.

Afer visiting mosow, minsk and then kiev, i agree with you, only thing is: kiev feels like actual part of Europe.

Minsk is a nice city too but dealing with visa shit probably will be too much for european. Maybe in years this will change :)

Is it that hard to get a VISA ? I don't mind countries taking care of who's coming in.

kiev mostly ugly but people were nice. if u like trekking go south Carpathian Mountains with vampires. worth it.
