decades pass adn suddenly someone does bridge to rail with one jump, you can rocketjump while in the tele to boost out of high yellow ztn exit, and then you find this little gem. i spent probably over 100 hours tricking on ctf2 and found more tricks than i ever thought possible. i wonder what this old lady is willing to reveal for us in lets say 5 years :) this little things are the reason why i keep playing since 2002

that is just a ledge jump, works on all ledges. people do it on jump pads all the time.

cept that there shouldnt be any ledge there. and its not that easy to do in some sitautions (like the plasma)

the ledge is to the left. When he presses jump at the right time the jump catches the grenade launcher platform and does the ledge jump of it. Nothing new just standard ql.

the double jump or ledge jump (same thing) works by making you jump from NEXT the ledge. ill make a vid doing a jump from nothing on some random ledges when get home.

0:10 and 0:20 don't look like a ledge jump (on the visible ledge). Didn't bother watching further.

It's not a regular ledge. Yes you can use it for the ledge jump like you said but its further away and below the grenade platform, its a completely different edge which you can get stuck on for various amounts of time. Which from my experience is very troublesome when you are +backing.

but i actually this very ledge prohibited me from falling down once when i failed to plasma to the red and i was really astonished. though i thought it was a one-time-glitch. (ofc. shouldve realized there is no such thing in quake...)

Ye, i stumbled upon it by accident. I instantly /devmap bloodrun that shit for testing.

Its just a clip brush, there are also ones here:

- on RA platform (the side closest to the tele exit), to make the jump easier
- Above lower YA, to make it easier to RJ up to the top

I don't know why its there but I guess its just to make it so you can fall from the RA onto the ledge without jumping... not sure.. its a bit strange.
