No idea, saw that for the first time in Quake and my reaction was :O

we've been doing variations of that move on thunderstruck since ra3. plasma up just to get your head above the short wall and rail the dude standing on it.

applying it to duel is pretty weird because i'd expect the other guy to just rail you since you are more airborn after the plasma, but maybe the speed of his railshot was too quick and made the other guy miss. don't know...

Well yea you can see in the movie that GLK350 was standing and aiming, waiting for Plaz to peek out. The kind of "strafe" movement Plaz achieves with that short plasma burst looks(from GLK's pov) totally unexpected, almost like a changeup pitch to a power hitter looking to tee off.

Then for Plazma to do it AGAIN from the opposite wall, imo, is even more unexpected.
Not a good technique to pull off several times in a duel, since a good player like GLK will learn how to time that movement arc and rail him.

thosee pg boost jumps and switch to rail on ztn was new to me, whether its that useful I dont know.

I remember playing years back q3 ctfs, where one would rj up to do the rail from above to surprise the enemy, but such small boos in ztn i do not know.

pretty much the frags are not as astonishing as they could've been, but still pretty decent. and watching the whole thing still keeps entertaining.
