Yeh but they're not likely going to change the shape (they won't). I think oreozz is saying that the shells are just too different, even compared to the g100s which will have the same shell.

Ninox Aurora (bst mouse) and G100S are smaller and they don't have flared end like WMO. They are MX300 clones.

Shape and dimension wise probably the closest thing to WMO clone is Steelseries Kana.

tbh i dont even know what disadvantage lift off distance presents. the small movements when you pick up/set down your mouse? its entirely possible ive just never used a mouse with bad lift off distance...


shape and sensor not malfunctioning/no accel, etc. are my usual concerns

i have a g100 and indeed it feels nothing like a wmo

on a side note it also fucks up horribly if you do fast swipes slightly above the pad

I don't really mind Kana as much after taking a 2nd go at it. All the early and annoying bugs were corrected.

Somewhat prefer it to early A3050 based mice, granted the tracking code is quite different. Reminisce of Agilent/Avago angle snapping algorithm ("predicition") which is a no go for a lot of gamers.

Lift off is quite situational, though WMO will cover a majority of the same surfaces at lower distance.

Shape wise, I personally consider the Kana more annoying than WMO. Buttons and design cover too much area. Limited grip surface/ easy to actuate. Just personal nitpicking ~

Zowie FK is a bit smaller, but has a nice design. Tracking wise, ive had issues on some surfaces (Zowie mice in general), but a little internal mod has changed my view point and I consider these quite nice if you can accept the shape, weight and DPI.

I'm not the biggest fan of switch and wheel choice, but subjective property. There are many that don't seem to mind it.

Both Kana and FK are a tad pricey for what they are, but it's w/e. Not much value in gaming mice anyway.

tbh for me kana has the best shape out of all modern mice(cause it's the closest to WMO i guess), Sensei/xai are too huge while zowies are different. I'm quite disappointed in FK(and would prefer to use AM over it if i had to choose between two). I somewhat palm all mice(including side fingers) while index and middle finger are being positioned as with claw grip. And FK is just terrible when you hold it this way. Feels more like kinzu than WMO being too thin and low shaped. Though modded with avago lens and having a slightly forwarded sensor position the tracking and feeling is really good, but still AM wins cause of the shape(though i can't really say it's that good overall being /''''\ shaped)
As for sensor I prefer A3050 over pixart tbh(at least on low dpi values I use) though i only tried bst's A3050 mouse

Sensei/Xai is certainly one of my favorites due to the larger size. It has a spot in my heart even if the sensor isn't preferred.

Yeah. FK is basically a kinzuadder to an extent. A lot of claw gripers seem to prefer that though. (I personally hybrid grip. DA worked well for that)

As for AM. I honestly wish it was wider.. :D /_\ sides would work better imho.

3050 is ok.. It's just rather limited. PAW3305 tracks well up to around 2.4k DPI registry. or 1200~ (Same setting) on 0.5x mag.

In the same regard, PAW3305 is limited IPS wise due to lower frame rate when utilizing natural range of sensor. (1.0x)

It's heavier and has side buttons.

Shape is slightly different, but if you like clawing the kinzu, you would prob like FK.

i havent heard anything bad nor too good about that zowie one but my guess is the sidebuttons will distract and it wont be worth the overly expensive purchase

Yeh I agree about the Kana. It doesn't make sense to have the side buttons that large and have such a narrow area for the thumb.

well...i have a 10 year old ms3.0 that i found on some random shelf in my room and it's as good as new, scroll aside, but i decided to get a new mouse anyway so fuck it.

thing is, i quit playing like 2,5 years ago so i realized that i don't know SHIT about these new zowies / steelseries or whatever. so basically i decided to go for kana cause it looked like the best one out there but... is it really so bad? i mean the side buttons are useless but i didn't presume that the holes on the side are so bad... + high speed jitter?

apparently the kinzu has the same problem on high sens, but the material is some low quality crap, at least from what i've grasped on a couple of reviews...

so what should i go for really? both wmo and ms3.0 shapes work for me, none of that post- mx300/g1 logitech ergonomic crap...

No, kana is not bad, it just has a pixart sensor which doesn't suit some people style. Comes down to personal preference really. Dahang is very happy with it.
