Hi guys,
I am using DeatchAdder 3.5 g mouse with razor goliathus control (smallest size due to space and my play style ) . I started playing quakelive without any knowledge of how to play fps games,So i have a play style of very small mouse movement also i don't use to lift my mouse . My settings is 450 dpi , 4 sens ,windows sens 6 ,mouseaccel 0.1 i am happy with my decent aim but problems is my movement its very slow , also not able to complete most of the jumps in toxicity like maps ,one more problem is rocket jumping due to sens . All this have giving positional advantage to opponent . I want a help from you guys to develop my movements , trick jumps , and a advise to move faster in maps . I don't want to change my dpi and i can't use bigger mouse pad so please help me with this settings.Thanks

With such settings, assuming you have default m_yaw, you have ~23cm/360 with some accel.
I use ~30cm without accel and i can do most of the trick jumps.

Also I use russian style. Resting my elbow on the table really helped me with fast swipes, and it gives a lot a space for the mousepad.
If you lack of space, I suggest you do the same.

forget to mention i use m_yaw 0.019 and m_pitch 0.018. I had seen many players do a nice full rotation its very smooth but i have jerky moment . i play a lot atleast 3- 4 hrs daily that too for last 2 and half years . I feel only i can better after fix this mouse and movement

Try lowering your accel to 0.07-0.05 and increasing m_pitch (vertical) to something like 0.024 and also add a senscap of +1.5 sens. The lower accel should help you have more control while maneuvering, the increased pitch will help with your rocketjumps and vertical combat, and the senscap will prevent you from getting too jerky with your movements.

I also use DA high sens without moving my arm and these settings helped me. No guarantees they'll help you though, although if you say you've been playing 3-4 hours daily for 2.5 years and still have trouble moving I'm guessing you need to change something.

btw it's kinda impossible to hit LG with these settings, for me at least, so if you want to keep these settings but have issue hitting LG you will need a script to make it reduce sens while firing LG

hmm i tried your settings its weird for my 90 fov. But in 110 fov its like good for me smooth rotation and i feel like moving fast and better but may be its due to illusion of high fov . But i really want to scale down to my fov 90 . Its that any formula to reduce it down ?.

90 fov lol.... I've gradually been reducing mine from 120 over the years... 118, 115, 112, 110... I tried 108 recently but it was too low :x

I've seen people here talk about the specific formulas for scaling sens and accel depnding on fov change but I can't remember who they are or what threads they were.

In any case... I believe the lower the fov you have the harder it is to move efficiently.

sens doesnt change with fov so there is no formula. It is just illusion.
Also I wouldn't recommend that huge difference between pitch/yaw.
What I would do is keep your original sens 4 / 0.1 and move pitch yaw to default 0.022 to increase sensitivity.

There is no point of taking mouse settings from a pro. Same sensitivity feels very different with a heavy big mouse like DA and light small like Abyssus.

nooo... what are you doing? if 400 dpi then sens 4.5 accel 0 fov 100 pitch/yaw 0.022 and start learning how to play. don't fuck around with this for atleast 2-3 months.

i want to move faster in game and also want to do some turns . you suggested settings is my current settings with the difference fov = 90 and pitch /yaw 0.018

IMO you're going to be better off with 105/110 fov til you feel confident with your movement and then lower it to something reasonable(90 is the fov of a horse with blinders).
