Went to Worfaire 2000 for Q3 in Joburg. It was a CPL qualifier for Babbages, and there were 512 entrants for 1v1 and 32 teams for TDM. This was in South Africa! The next year there were barely 30 entrants for duel, and like 8 teams for tdm. It got worse from there.

I remember having a female training partner for duel in 00
Helped her prepare for some female only tourney
Money wasn't half bad for the winner(10 grand?)

I also remember scrimming with all female tdm clans
Knew 2-3 active female clans back then
Which is nuts cause I doubt theres even 3 active tdm clans right now in NA (correct me if I'm wrong)
the best female team actually thought they were hot shit, so much so that they entered a cpl tournament. They ended up getting owned so badly that one of their losses became a running joke on xsr

The only female Q3'er I can remember was Succubus.
