It's funny how you're specifically asking how to create timer scripts (funny, 25 and 35, right?) and in the next post you claim that this timer could be used as a stopwatch and not for quake at all.

Btw. thank you for Java code I do know how to code but did not know it was possible to use it with quake console.

And calling this a cheat is utter BS. I've heard stories about bunch of people who had their friends or girlfriends sitting next to them and timing one or two items so the player could concentrate on the game more....now that's cheating. Remember Q3 coach option in TDM? Well the coach's timed with stopwatch and shit but that wasn't called cheating it was called coaching....this could be also a "coaching tool" wile you watch demos to remind yourself to time the items.

Also the keys to press this are waaaaay of the place to make it comfortable pressing during the game without moving the hand from move keys....it would be more of disadvantage than a cheat imo, but hey yes it's also a cheat when someone is winning only due to a better ping but never mind that it's fine.

did you really expect normal answers when you're ignoring the last 15 or so years of quake rulings on what is considered cheating? if you're being ignorant, expect to be treated roughly the same way.

any form of external program or countdown has been considered a cheat in most leagues since the dawn of quake. afaik quake2'ers have traditionally be more lenient towards external help with timing, but, hey... they played quake2.

coaching in tdm is vastly different from having your keyboard display a countdown for the next mega spawn, that's not even an argument :p
if in theory some midskilled dueler would today start owning the weekly online cups with timing to the second and super map awareness people in general will consider him cheating, just a thought.

I'm testing the keyboard possibilities, this is just a start, after I manage to do this I would simply display Health, Armor, Time, Frags. Has nothing to do with the assistance, but there are a lot of bitching ppl so I regreat asking anything :)

Saying that having a lower ping is cheating just asking for it.

Usually threads like this get locked and deleted, we are after all discussing a form of cheating.

I'm looking for someone who is familiar with scripting in generaly.
g510 comes with timer inside but it can't be edited via the driver program itself.
It counts down 5minutes and has a stopwatch.
I wanted to edit this so I can put whatever time I want.

I wrote down timers since this is a quake forum and went with it, now seeing what you get for a simple question I want be doing that again hahaha

I just created .wav files with me literally counting down 10 ..9..8..7..and so on


which I have bound to my kp_arrow keys so when i pick up RA I hit one of my .wav binds and it kicks on when 10 seconds are left to pick up the item

Not sure if serious but your way of cheating have made you a worse player. It's much easier to time normally than to get distracted and have someone shouting 10,9,8,7 etc in your ear when you are trying to hear where your opponent is. It's also retarded to press the arrow keys when u are about to pick up armor/mega. Imagine you are about to jump onto an armor. You take your hand off the mouse to press your gay cheat keys, then your opponent suprise attack you while your hand is off your mouse. Seems like a good way to lose a duel. In theory your cheat method will only be useful against opponents 1300 and under.

I did the same, only with Zoot saying "big rocket", and whenever I hit a face rocket I press it to entertain myself.
