i'd rather see a 7 map map-pool rather than replacing 2 maps with 2 new ones,
its a risky move and i really hope it wont affect the attendance that much.

theres like 3 hektics in ztn in terms of space. only that makes game way more variable.
and its like 30 times more balanced - you dont have 1 (just one) dominant position like at hektic, where you just hold ra area and shoot shoot shoot shoot

if you didnt noticed, we're speaking what maps are better for duels.
my point is that hektik is no duel map at all, its just target practice, like thunderstruck.

maybe if you played hektik as much as you played ztn, then you'd find some variation.

actually, dear royalist, inspite of my flag, i prefer dm13 and T7 ;)
and i watched like 70-80 games on hektic, with almost all top-players. theres no variation at all.

imo, its about the structure of map - basically, its just one room that provides only one type of opposition - vertical. every good map has LOTS of types.

then I guess we'll see if players are able to offer us something new on hektik :)

I don't think hektik was around long enough for people to gain some extra skills on it and different "tactics" and ztn has been around for years, same with dm13(which is awful to spectate most of the time despite it being a great map, hint @ future cups/LANs) and Furious Heights has been played for quite some time now within QL.

I disagree. It isn't a tactical map at all, but played correctly offers many possibilities. And having one dominant position on the map is not bad on Hektik, because with the good rail play the control shifts very fast which makes the matches on it intense and exciting imho.

there's plenty more possibilites on a map like hektik than there ever was on aerowalk or toxicity.................................

yap. im not high tier dueler, very much not when it comes to playind duel (not aiming heahea), and as i was learning ive always felt hektik is the more freindlier.

aerowalk feels almost impossible to trap people, except for some rail dmg if opponent jumps RA while mega is up or attacking YA from teleporter. thats not to say hektik is godlike. there are some known issues people usually complain about, as for me i really cant say they not true ((

Dude you got tons of possibilities on toxicity, if you don't have control you could either kill him on RA or kill him on MH or kill him on a YA or do loads of damage respawn with a weapon and kill him and if you're in control you could just stand in middle of map wait for spawn and rail or you could hear some other plays he comes from and rail him there or maybe spam rockets towards RA when he tries to get them, there's so much possibilities [/end sarcasm]
