the real fun starts with the quarter-finals pools (03:00 CET) or if you want to wake up to a saner hour, there's the semi-final pool (05:00 CET) that will determine the Top8 for Sunday.

sometimes the game is confusing to watch even if you play it.

there's a lot of system mechanics and character specific subsystems with team dynamics on top. you need to be aware of those, otherwise it seems super chaotic to the untrained viewer. definitely not enjoyable for casual viewers.

I wouldn't say it's not enjoyable. I came into it totally confused, but by now i sort of know what's going on most of the time, and i'm having a great time watching it. Especially now that only good players are left. Guess it takes some effort from the casual viewer to make it work, but the payoff is worth it.

Then she sat down and watched... and watched and watched until it finished lol. Crazy hype for these games, it was very entertaining. KOF was freakin amazing and even SSF2T was awesome. So many of the finals came down to last match. What a great event!
