Q3 Level Design Competition Update! (48 comments)

In case you missed it, MaverickServers is hosting a Quake 3 level design competition at mapping.maverickservers.com. There are currently 20+ mappers creating some awesome designs. Alpha versions of maps in progress are already being posted for downloading; any feedback is greatly appreciated. Registration is closing on June 23rd, so if you are interested please sign up soon.

Xonotic desperately needs new maps, especially for duel and tdm. Mappers, if you want your maps to actually be played - port them to Xonotic please :P

Doesn't matter though, Kenya means custom maps, they don't have to be new per se.

Beware - mid quality trailer is 1080p50 10.000 kbps video.
I wonder what's high...

You should give some information in main post. I don't expect anything higher than 720p30 under "medium quality" link.

Q3 level design competition = QL developers are too lazy/ not enough inspirated to create new maps, so if you make it for them they would convert the Q3 maps in QL maps.....

As a note though, some of these maps may have been later changed/improved. You might want to check lvlworld.com or the author's respective website.

This issue was fixed within minutes of it being reported to ..::LvL using the contact form (on ..::LvL).

Posting error reports on a website not related to the one with the error is not very helpful :]

Even though I'm not participating this year, I am watching the competitors and some of them are doing great. Phant, cityy, and Despair have particularly caught my attention, and it looks like Donkey is going for something very interesting as well from his preview screens. I wish good luck to the competitors.
