prob cause i hated the corny techno on ld2 and over editing.. while lats had a good music vibe and wasn't overly edited!

LD2 is pretty good though! People should watch both =0 Then maybe go learn/play some TFC... funny how its clan scene is 11x healthier (their is 11 teams) than the QL scene in North America... and the game came out 13 years ago. Long live TFC!

i played Team Fortress Classic ( among with Half-Life Deathmatch) when i first got the internet,in won2 servers ( if that what you guys use,no steam in Tunisia ),there was a server which allways full of bots and sometime some ppl pop in,mostly from Canada,was super fun to play it. didnt knew that jumping is used in this game.

played TFC for 8 years.stopped with release of QL.

would play TFC again if they(#tfc.pickup) could create smg like a "8-vs-8-Day-Thursday". I dont like to play 4vs4 all the time.

tfc.pickup only ever runs 8v8 now from what I've seen. 10+ games a day on the weekends. Not quite sure what prompted it but it's suddenly become a lot more active in the last couple of months.

I just now caught this, and the game is no longer the huge team-oriented game
it used to be. The players now are more versatile and rounded, and far more reliant
on technicality and aim over strategy and tactics. I personally find this to be perfectly
fine, but many older TFC players don't really "gell" with how the game is played today.

an 8v8 day would be pretty nice, but there is currently a league going with ~10 teams
that is going along rather decently. As far as #tfc.pickup games go, or any other
channel goes, 4v4 will reign supreme until everyone quits. It's faster, funner to play
for many (playing offense and defense is more fun than just playing one class at
one position), takes zero time to set up, and is just overall more ideal for a community
that has shrunk so much like TFC has.
