Not being able to swallow, eat and drink for 4+ days was fking aweful... certinately didn't feel like "nothing".

Last time I had it (I was prob 14/15) I went downstairs to make myself a drink during the night, I turned on the tap and passed out over the sink, I woke up sometime later with the water hitting my face :)

I hate that shit, though, in my experience, it's usually older people that do it. Few weeks ago i was at a pharmacy. So i browse for a minute, see a free cashier, start walking towards her. Suddenly, some older guy literally appears out of thin air, coughs indicatively, gives me the evil eye and says it's *his* turn. I shrug, and say "go on then", not really one to argue about shit like that.

So, he proceeds to cash in a prescription, but the lady behind the counter says they're out of the drug he wants but he can come back on monday when they restock. Chaos ensues, the guy has a bigtime meltdown, starts yelling at the poor lady, demands to see the manager, wants to know *why* they're out of the drug he wants, pretty much starts babbling nonsensically. Didn't look like anyone would do jack (there were a few other people there, mostly old ladies) so i told him to fuck off to another pharmacy, and that there are at least 3 others in the area he can go to pick up his shit. For a second i thought he'd try to punch me, but he calmed down and left. And that's how i became the prince of a town called Bel Air.

Don't even get me started on old ladies at the post office. The horror.

Depends on cultures, most Eastern Bloc countries are famous for scandalous old people. Russia has some notiorious anecdotes about old women and queues for doctor's appointments or post offices, etc.

Every time I go town (city center) I regret it the next day, it's just shit... I rarely go any more.

New Years was "ok" apart from the mc donalds bit and spending 12am outside a club because they weren't letting any more people in.

Tonsilitis usually takes a week or so to clear, the fact I waited an extra day to see a doctor probably didn't help.

Lack of planning it seems to me as in when you go downtown, f.e this year I had some places I was guaranteed to get inside without any wait, some exclusive party with fewer people, rather then risking going to the "bigger clubs" which are loud and crowded(only reason to go there is when you're drunk out of your mind ?) I much more prefer a place with fewer people and sofas+beer
