Hey!

I'm collecting demos for my QL fragmovie. Anyone and any type of frags can come. Duel, TDM, CA, CTF anything, and even single frags and fragruns too. Only condition is, the frag(s) have to be awesome! :)

Send the frags to: [email protected] with subject "Movie demos"

All the demos must have a description and timestamp like:
mccormic_dm20_17.30_quadrun.dm_73

Or if you cut the demos, its enough to type nick, map and type of frag:)

He retextured all the maps, and captured it all with mme. For Quake Live, he's using stock DM maps (I doubt he would put the work in to retexture them, unless he felt like going toe-to-toe with KOS), and only has wolfcam to work with.

Wolfcam has fx scripts, though, so some of those things should be possible, I doubt it'll look as good as the best-looking q3 videos :>

i wont retexture and remake maps. defrag itself has some really nice looking map and i mostly used them unmodified in celestia, i only modified like 4 cause they didnt match up in detailness. im not going toe2toe with KOS it will be just a simple mccormic movie :)

I exaggerated a little bit when I said "he retextured all the maps". I know what you did, and it was pretty awesome to say the least. I didn't feel it was necessary to retexture stargate though.

The reason I mentioned competing with KOS is because Celestia was good enough to compete with f33l imo, and KOS is finishing up his duel movie now...

That might be true, but I still see supposedly renown moviemakers including things like that (or random nades, airrockets who were supposed to hit somebody else etc.). This is targeted more for the general populace.

A lot of things in frag videos weren't really "meant to hit" anyway, so if they hit a different target it's not that big a deal.

Well when it's really obvious, I agree that it detracts quite a bit. There are times, though, when it's really exciting.

Double rails are a kind of an example, though they're usually just hitting an extra target along with the intended one.

well, everyones has been confirmed by being written on the list but i've not seen my nick written on there or anywhere else and i was one of the first to send.

all his post has said is 'received demos from'. i have no idea whether or not he has received mine despite me sending it because he hasnt updated the list, so its useless him saying that he's received demos from everyone when the list says otherwise.

From now I accept frags from the following mods:

Quake III Arena : OSP
Quake III Arena : CPMA
Quake III Arena : RA3
Quake III Arena : 3Wave
Quake Live

Still, any kind of game mode, physics can come.

Please try to tell this to others too, cause I just can't find where to put a forum about asking for Q3 frags...

Only 3wave servers which are active these days would be xs4all and possibly Rx, you could try joining xs4all and asking manually

games.xs4all.nl/quake3
though, players are usually on the 3wave from 7-12 or so

i will present the movie at dhw11 live, but the movie will be only released somewhere at the beginning of '12. so if youre not in the movie dont be disappointed, another X minutes will come along in the full release :) and that will be better edited, i was really out of time with this :)

The movie will be played possibly on friday before duel finals which starts at 21:30 CET so stick to the screens around 21:00 to not to miss it :)

Erm....seems like the movie will be out at a different time. Lets say at the end of March. It got delayed due stuffs like I had more important stuffs to do, also i've been learning to my graduation exam (that i passed <3) so i just got back to the movie now. it needs a total remake kinda, so thats why i say end of March. due this delay, i will give you a big present along with the movie when its out ;) oh and u can still send me demos \o/

When I saw your teaser I couldnt help but think 'none realized the angle' :D

also afaik whats cool about the frag on cooller on ztn is that I tie the game up so close to the end (or something along those lines) :D
