Event: CC'11

The group stage of the TDM Country Championship 2011 is coming to its last 3 matches, with 2 of them tonight! And next week, the playoff will start on Monday and should finish on Sunday if everything goes as planned. So far: In Group C

Russia topped the pool while

Austria took the 2nd place;

Poland, one of the favorites, failed in Group D leaving

United Kingdom with the 1st rank just followed by

Hungary. The Group A's rankings will be settled tonight and Group B should be over on Sunday.

13:30 CDT: Denmark vs Germany @ Level Up TV
14:00 CDT: Sweden vs Ukraine @ HoQ TV
Late match: France vs Denmark (14:00 CDT, 25 September 2011)

Awesome post and great tight schedule. I hope this works out.

Now please someone step in and move this post back to the top when the playoff matches are due. Only ~100 viewers on lvlup is a bit disappointing. :/

So far:

Sweden are favorites.

Possible upset by UK, France, Hungary, Finland or Russia (in order of decreasing likeliness)

Disappointing: Germany, Poland, Austria

Dark horse because of unstable lineup: Denmark

Dark horse because cooller might step in when it counts: Russia

I'm guessing team chemistry/rivalry.

dk and xtro are two other players that come to mind which would probably play better than been-inactive-for-the-last-6-months-issue, won't-ever-go-to-quad-k1llsen, or actually-play-CTF-and-CA-fragmaster.

I guess you did notice how they didn't attack rail on purgatoy in their match against Denmark for 10 minutes? Or that they got less PUs on purgatoy than Latvia? That's what happens when you throw 4 partly semi-active and partly non-TDMers in a team which doesn't practice.

It's just a shame, really. :/

yeah, I'd wonder what placements would be possible if we had some top players that play as a stable team outside the nationscup.

Like the pretty stable teams consisting (mostly) of players from Finland, Hungary, Ukraine, Spain, ... most nations, actually.

i told moppz (captain at that time) that i would play if we managed to get some regular practice in before the cup starts cause playing would be pointless otherwise. When none besides ischju and me showed up for the first scheduled train i couldn't be arsed anymore.

oh, i can totally understand that :/

in general i would have loved to see more nations pick players more active and motivated players over the same old few names again who only show up for some official matches from time to time. (hello austria)

lvlup's own3d stream not working for anyone else? It says it's live with 117 viewers but I just get a blank black screen. Meanwhile I'm watching another own3d stream just fine. Anyone else having this problem?
