Everything is bought now and delivered apart from the case which is coming tomorrow. Unfortunately it ended up costing about �30-40 more than I had planned though. Overall it seems ok for the money, could have probably saved a bit more on the graphics card and ended up buying a brand new case as the ones going on eBay for cheap were a bit crap and looked worse so just decided to buy a CoolerMaster Elite 343 to get the job complete.

Was thinking about using the OCZ vertex 2 SSD I have but seems a waste so just going to sell it instead, might even sell this computer yet.

Going to build it tomorrow then I'll find out if any of the parts work! Also need to find somewhere to put it and will hook it up to a tv until I can get a free monitor. Will just be used for QW, Q3 and QL... really missing some dm!

if u want to rig md3 skeleton u must animate tag_hand with keyframes and use export v7

that computah seems more than enough for quake, did you really build a rig just for quakez??? coming from a broken system/sucky laptop?

This is really what I should do, I don't play anything on my PC but Sim-War games, indie games, and Quake. But I could use a 'new' computer at some point so everything doesn't run like shit anymore.

I payed slightly higher than what they were going for, mostly around the �30 mark. But it's a good card and couldn't think of anything better for the price.

8800GTS 320 is oldest (year 2006) of 8800 generation and slowest.

Maybe buying 8800GT or GTS 512 would be worth for that money, but not 8800GTS 320.

It's ok card for QL, but definitely not worth money you paid for it.

I see 8800GT'/9600GT's being sold for 20~gpb on ebay uk

8800GTS was an awful choice:(

eats up about 100-145W when it's loaded and it's much slower than a 9600GT using only about 65W

It's 320Mb because of the 320bit wide memory bus, so it's the GTS for sure:(

Anyway, the Jeantech 450w PSU is frightens me even more , especially with such a powerhungry video card.

I'm really sorry, that I talk like this about your new build:( I really hope that it will work as you planned, and you will enjoy using it.:)
