Q2 Coolnet FFA server with greeeeeat, best maps suited for FFA. Played it for several years and had awesome fun during that time. I'm quite sad that QL has pretty shit FFA maps.

Best FFA experience is Unreal Tournament FFA on Deck 16 ][ (even though I though I am a quaker).

Nothing beats 150-ping 20-player Q2DM1.

never had a pc when i was a kid so missed out on doom/quake until college, but still rememebr the first time I saw doom and the outside texture on the first level (just up the stairs) which I swore at the time looked real.

Modern games dont mean the same to me. There was no better period for a gamer than the 80's/90's. After 2000. It turned to mass market shit.

Grateful for the memories though. Its not a youth thing either.

The modern shops are sterile, the game boxes look the same, shiny plastic, no ripped, smelly boxes with cool art work and half written passwords over them. The staff are 17 and have never head of a super nintedo and all look like they stole their look from Skins or an FHM magazine.

Q2 FFA on fragzone.se and edome.fi servers from 1998-1999 was teh shit for me! I cued for hours just to get into the servers during evening prime time, and once you were in you did not want to leave :)

qw on reset servers. ffa on fragtown maps was $$$.

played some i-tdm in ql yesterday. was fun!
ffa and team based game modes are always fun. i guess its coz ur not so stressed while playing. not every kill/death is important. mindless running around the map can be pretty fun :D
