This Saturday it will be

Team Dignitas to feature another Quake Live Duel tournament with up to 64 players to battle it out in a single elimination bracket with a prize pool about Ł200 in total split on the top 8.

It's not the first time the organization comes up with a QL tournament. In the previous edition the German master of the rail

k1llsen was able to beat

tox1c with a clean 2-0 win to save him the title. This time the event is powered by AlienwareArena and looks to become as much of a success as the previous edition.

although i am usually for a very flat payout structure i doubt that it makes sense to pay 5th-8th when you only have Ł200 at all. would go for something like 100,50,30,20

well its not really enough to still feel like a real price somehow
but the idea behind it is motivating more people to compete instead of just the ones that have a shot of actually winning and thats good, its just that there is a point where it doesnt make sense anymore

Nothing has to do with short announcement, it's just how shit and super-small quake community is. Some will say its Saturday, party time but in every other multiplayer game you'd prolly fulfill 64/32 bracket slots without problems.
