with wii controller support, amazing 3d effects (you can convince yourself by using 3d glasses),a mini-militia p0rt game-in-game and stunishing new directx 11 shaders and special effects
you can follow the arrow if you don't know what to do next, then there is the huge message on the display explaining you what to do and if you still do act like a (retard?) console player then you just relax, sit back, because pressing the HELP button the game will play the game by itself
also don't forget abt easter-eggs and all other supercool features who does increase your AI and your penis size out of the box

I don't really care tbh, I have a PS3 for the good single player exclusives and the controller is passable for 3rd person shooters. The only thing I want from consoles is for all the good games I can't get on my PC to stay on one system so I only need that one.

a great concept, incredibly underexploited. I don't get fun out of games made for retards with the attention span of a fish in its bowl.

It wasn't actually meant to be a full game, and the price reflected that. They didn't think that it would be as popular as it was, so they didn't go wild with it. Now that Valve have the confidence of how well Portal did, they're going wild with Portal 2. It's a full length game, the videos make it look MUCH more difficult, it has a co-op campaign, they're doing a full advertising campaign for it, and the story ties in with HL2.

As vedic said, I don't think it was intended to be a huge release ages ago, moreso just an experiment with the Source engine. That's why it's short and sweet. The mod maps for it are far more complicated and challenging.

It can be quite impressive what organised pirates can achieve.

In glasgow, in the days of 28/56k modems I used to get pirated games from the barras (pirate group called Sweeney), and they used to get movies on the street up to a month before they are shown on the big screen. They paid off someone from a local cinema to let them bring in some recording equipment during closed hours, and play the film reels a day or two after they arrived from the production company's distributors of the movie. The quality was as good as a dvd release; kinda like real-life fraps, but highly illegal of course :)

Their place in the market got raided almost every week from what one of them was telling me; when I was there the police had marked cars at each end of their street with telescopic lenses keeping an eye on them during the barras market opening hours. Serious stuff.

Talking at least several dozen members, and a lot of money floating around. It was impressive to say the least.

If you were doing the ARG just to get the game released early, you were doing it wrong. It was meant to be just some extra portal-related fun, and to kill some time while you were waiting.

Just release the game already and stop pandering to this newly developed form of marketing please.

As of this post, we are at 48% completion. Idling/playing both count towards the goal, so donate your idle time to the cause! Potatoes are supposed to give us an unspecified bonus at some unspecified number, so they're still very important. We're up to 327,000 potatoes, and you can get 2 potatoes from each game.

We reached the potato milestone, and now they are counting down at at about 10/sec. Current projections show that it's giving us about double the progress for participation while it's going, and will last for the entire countdown time remaining. Some are also reporting the the seconds on the countdown timer are now counting down about 25% faster, so we'll probably get a release in a few hours.

Completed single player, took about 10hrs I think.

I thought the puzzles were fairly easy for the most part, haven't done co-op yet, looking forward to see what custom map makers will be able to throw together with new game mechanisms.
