The Ultimate Gaming Championship, a LAN party event that will be held from March 31st to April 3rd in

Lignano Sabbiadoro at the touristic resort Villaggio GeTur.

The event will welcome 1 000 gamers and features a prizes purse up to $30,000 for the following official tournaments:

- Quake Live - $7,000 (Details)
- StarCraft 2 - $7,000
- Call of Duty 4
- Pro Evolution Soccer 2011
- Super Street Fighters IV
+ community tournaments as part of the a BYOC event.

hahaha, no cooller in the player list, on the site. think bloody stermy doesnt want him in his tournament (see dh winter 2010 circus about cooller and av3k taking dives in their games). also no av3k, and no cypher as well. so lame. ultimate tournament my ass :-j

the visa thing is a good point, forgot all about those non-eu country requirements. however, even if that is the case, it's still doesnt explain av3k missing, he's polish, hence eu. and the last i checked, none of them would miss a multi thousand euro tournament

Cooller doesn't have place for yet another visa in his passport and it's too long to get a new passport (it's the silliest situation ever, but that's the case).
Cypher said he will come.

Only $14,000 has been posted, so that leaves a good 16k to split amongst the remaining 3 or, if they include that last bit, 4.. Hopefully CoD 4 gets recognition, though it isn't as amazing as the first 2 games.

I think it's somewhat deliberate. An organizer should not take part in his/her own event simply because it becomes the default notion that the tournament would be rigged in his/her favor.

It's a good initiative and I think he's just trying to keep it drama-free.
