so it goes like this:
cypher: "cooller can't beat me"
cooller: "he saying that because he's afraid of me"

now, i'd like to think they're playing the mental game. but it's not even that. cooller would have totally ignored that cypher statement if it wasn't for the interviewer, who brought it up as an intentional provocation. to create some buzz and excitement. and to which cooller of course has to reply to in one way or the other. cooller could also have said that "cypher is an ass", it's totally irrelevant. and so much also to your "gj @ asking that Cypher question", because effectively that's only media serving themselves. i.e. a huge yawner.

on top of that, cooller didn't say "cypher is more afraid of me than i am of him". he only said cypher was afraid of him. so it's really you who's taking it to that entirely juvenile "no you are more blah than i level". the indefinite "you are" "no you are" cycle.

sorry, but in my book you lost some credit. i like to assume that you're a cypher fan. but even if, your original statement wasn't really a tremendously useful contribution.

I got the same impression as Trance. Seemed to me that Cooller's body language gave away a bit. Also after Cooller said he wanted Av3k to win over Cypher and then fell silent and looked away from camera.

Also by end of interview Cooller was pursing his lips to one side or the other and chewing non-existent gum. The guy would make a terrible poker player... he wears all his emotions on his face.

of course he wants avek to win. because he's more comfortable for him to play. that has nothing to do with "being afraid" or "being more afraid".

and as to "wearing all his emotions on his face", experience tells that you never know how much is happening and how much you're projecting. maybe the question made him just feel uncomfortable. maybe because he doesn't like to trash talk towards cypher but was pushed into that corner. what do we know.

next year, cooller's been playing professionally for ten years. during which he's seen both, highs and lows in abundance. and in ql, he keeps playing lan events albeit not yet having won a single one of them. with all those people breathing down his neck who are desperately wanting to see him win.

If cooller could beat cypher, he would have by now. Countless, and I mean countless opportunities to do so.

It's fairly obvious to me and any unbiased non-cooller-fanboy spectator that cooller knows that he's trying his hardest and still losing to cypher.

As for the interview, what gave it away for me was when he said he hopes Av3k wins Cypher and that it would be better for him to play Av3k in the final (if he makes it there ofc). I mean, seriously, it can't be more obvious than this. He knows Cypher's style is kryptonite for him, which makes him kinda afraid of Cypher.

I never claimed Cooller said the exact words "I'm afraid of Cypher", but cmon, it looks pretty obvious after that interview.

since cooller didn't win a single event in 2010, it's pretty obvious he is afraid of cypha. in my opinion both av3k and cypher are out of range for cooller atm. also, it doesn't really matter cause strenx is gonna rape him in the semif.

then cooller didn't deny that he was "afraid" of cypher. indeed, in fact, he wasn't even asked. it's you sherlock who seems to have a desire to find evidence for that. and here it is: cooller candidly said that he wants avek to win. wow.

but wait - of course he does. his percentage against avek is obviously better, because avek's a better fit for his style. he doesn't even hide that fact but talks openly about it, in front of a camera. indeed, he must be very afraid lol
