You spawn with all the weapons but lowish ammo, everything else is the same. That would hopefully get some newer people into duel, or at least try it :>

Don't think that would make a difference. Weapons aren't the thing that people have difficulty with in duels. If they put spectator timers up for lower tier players that would probably help get them more into it

Pretty sure the best way to get the console gamers were some sort of all weapon isntagib-ish* mode with aforementioned achievements. People need their freefrags to feel good.


*As in 2 bad rocket splashes or string of 4 lg "beads" means a kill.

I find those things are actually really fun when playing the new Call of Duty games, I'd love to see stuff like that when playing publics in QL.

the only thing I would find OK would be smth like nukm (I think) suggested once - a medal (+voice) that substitutes the impressive.

Should be awarded for every good lg-burst with 100+ dmg for a short period, double direct rocket or airrocket, 2 rails in a row, good pg burst etc....

ya, lg burst or airrocket awards, or rails where the mouse movement acceleration 50ms prior to the shot was really high or something.

The whole +10 score thing or +whatever when you get streaks whatever kinda is there. Afterall, when you get a kill a little 1 pops up above the kill, flag little +100 pops, suicide -1 etc

weapons could have been a bit more balanced though

they were trying to make it like CoD; balanced weapons are unfair

I hope they bring back the giant Christmas CTF map this year. That was so much fun in a big pub.

MG is the main weapon in most situations RL damage is so random
