...ruined due to those GOD DAMN VUVUZELAS, you heard it here first. I seriously don't know why they were embraced as the symbol of football in south africa... sigh.

But other than that - took a drive through cape town last night, LOVE the atmosphere and the way the whole country has come together to try and pull this off for the next month... I haven't felt this sort of unity as a nation since '94. But I know in a month's time when everyone leaves we'll all just go straight back to hating each other.

Part 2:

Watched the opening game for SA in a pub, atmosphere was really amazing... Even today, everywhere you go, you hear a vuvuzela, and tbh I really don't mind those ones, it's a constant reminder of the world cup and it'll only be for the next month. I even heard from friends who went to see a game that it's not that bad inside the stadium.. It's just the constant droning that really pisses me off on TV. But oh well.

Liked SA's game, think we showed some potential, loved the goal, though i guess mexico was the better side. Looking forward to Mexico vs France. ATM I'm trying to find tickets wherever I can so I'm probably going to pay a scalper... oh well.
