as far as i know its not the cd key its a generated id u can find in the settings or per console command..

lol you dont need a console command, it's in plain view under Settings > Game tab at the bottom.

Only console command that would reveal that is by going into a server that actually allows you to reveal your entire GUID via antitcc whois and those are few and far between. Waste to advise something no one would ever use when there's a much simpler way to do it. ;]

Do you refer to the timeframe of 0:16 - 0:19 ? That shieldjump is doable with standard gravity settings.

i watched it on high def and it seems my slow pc cant keep up with it.. didnt see that he made a shieldjump there ... guess the speed i saw it at made it look like low grav...

Agree, that was a great game, and guys at GGL booth did great job back then. I was so excited after first map that in between maps I made quick run around to tell friends they have to see it. Still, I would rate whole event rather low, cause apparently organizers didnt care much about spectators.

Ah well, I never paid much attention to the European ut2k4 scene once the big names stopped playing in 1v1 tournaments (or when 1v1 tourneys stopped having big prizes I guess)

I miss the days when American pros would come into public servers like Fractionary, go 60-4 in a tdm game, then make fun of everyone (little known fact, 80% of all good american 2k4 players are assholes)

dird cmon :) if you would take a closer look you may found out that theres 3aim vs 3close map. so sry that isn't rankin rankin rankin :D

this gives the most balanced situation since if some1 good with aim that can be countered via close combat maps and vica versa and the decider map will be choosed by the most effective player overall; its all about tactic by picking maps based on the enemy :)

and last but not least, if you don't even sign up dunno why are you so upset about it, no1 else cries a river about that mappool

I guess you're new to UT2004 or something so I'll sum it up for you.

Rankin - Hitscan...killu has beaten people for the soul reason he kept shock away for enough time...when they had it they started making comebacks
Ironic - 0-0 OT @ ESWC...if a player chooses this can quite easily be +back with shock. However it does allow a player to make them trip up so you can balance it and say its not shock heavy.
Lea - I fall asleep both when watching and playing so I couldn't say what its like ;)
Roughinery - Awesome
Backspace - Roughinery younger, weaker brother...its ok although once you leave the 100 area a lot of it is insta heavy.
Aerowalk - It plays like complete crap in UT2004. RC has destroyed my all time favourite quake map of any gametype.

The issue isnt about spam-hitscan balance because you could replace aero with albatross or any small standard map and you have a balance. It's about including something which runs terribly in UT2004 which is the reason I haven't signed up. If it were Squadder (used at german LANs and some other online stuff) or a standard map that isn't played much or even a completely new map off some mappers site like map raider then I would be much more interested in playing.

Edit: Oh and the "shame the same cant be said about the final map" was mainly in response to you saying the gameplay was nothing nothing like Quakes but theres a quake map :P

think about what? you think they signed up because you selected 6 "balanced" maps? or because of the prize and the fact that it is the only 1v1 tournament atm? the cb fall cup had 128 sign ups and no aero...think about that :P

also: signed up != play + play != play to the end...that 86 can be viewed as 40 who will play all their games

cant. people would choose aero then id play for 5 mins then ragequit without playing my map and then ask to be removed from the cup.

you should have kept it to 5 maps and then you could have done a set up like the ESL QL tournies...each player eliminates a map (their opponents strongest) then selects a map...one remaining = decider.
