About the concept of beauty: I don't think I have to do any additional reasearch on that. I read several articles on it. For example, they state that the pictures of a women made from merging the picture of many women from all over the world will look attractive to almost all men. But also, that the individual man will have certain detailed preferences which can be based on culture and heritage.
The articles mostly do not cover the cultural aspect of how women present themselves in public, which obviously has a very high influence on forming a publich opinion.

Nowhere, in the articles I've read, is a statement that says the average of all the women of a certain country is as beautiful as that of every other country. If you find a convincing article that does so, and provides a basis for your assumption, then please show it to me. Otherwise you might wanna consider reasearching, yourself.



We also never mentioned the influence of such factors as for example: the diet and the affinity for sports. As an extreme example: A country where every woman weighs at least 120kg will be quite unattractive, and before I get called a sexist a country with 120kg males will be unattractive, as well.

Arguing with the existence of a stereotype is a null argument. Yes, it does influence people's opinions, but that does in no way imply the the stereotype is wrong.

Which is why I specifically chose the extreme example of the Chinese. I think it is safe to say, that no one has seen more than half of the entire Chinese population face to face. In fact, I'd say most people have maybe seen 10 where they can be sure the actually are Chinese and not Vietnamese or a different Asian.

I've been to several places and had the opportunity to "check" many stereotypes.

As soon as you realize that so much you think you "know" is really a stereotype (hence the Chinese example) you find that most stereotypes fit in with reality.
But of course I also found many stereotypes to be wrong.
Average American is fat: wrong.
Average muslim despises white people: wrong (if anything it's based on nationality of the white person)
Eastern Europeans drink Vodka all the time: wrong

When I look at averaged faces I see very little differences between them beyond the obvious (colour), which tells me that populations are largely the same in terms of unattractiveness/attractiveness.

When I've traveled, see pictures or film I notice very little difference between the attractiveness of people.

Huh? oO There was no hatred in my post, sorry if you felt offended by it. I just travelled a bit and I've spent some time in the UK/Ireland and in the Eastern European countries. Also, friends' opinions, who travel, as well. It's a pretty common topic - "hey, and how are the women there?" Generally, I based that assumption by strolling down the main streets, going to clubs/pubs and observing how many times did I turn my head because of looking after a pretty girl :)

also to get one thing clear there's an equal number of attractive individuals everywhere if you question within the same population. it's a natural mechanism I guess, after a while you get accustomed to a certain level of ugly/beautiful which in case of britain means lowering your criteria. Huh? oO There was no hatred in my post, sorry if you felt offended by it. I just travelled a bit and I've spent some time in the UK/Ireland and in the Eastern European countries. Also, friends' opinions, who travel, as well. It's a pretty common topic - "hey, and how are the women there?" Generally, I based that assumption* by strolling down the main streets, going to clubs/pubs and observing how many times did I turn my head because of looking after a pretty girl :)

You see, you're buying into this based on that stupid Swe vs UK thing.

Firstly, it's two different places and the first one has like three girls in the entire place, the rest is "macho" topless guys, some crazy old dude and what looks like underage chavs. This alone should give you the impression it's not a place where girls would generally go.

The second place has no dates on the photos, so they could have been collected over years for all we know and the website seems to no longer exist.

I've never seen anything remotely like that and it's incredibly rare to see anything remotely that ugly. I think that really depends on the people you know. For example, I made quite a few people watch Spirited Away in Japanese + subtitles and they loved it without exception.

Sure, not many watch those series often, but they are open to new stuff.
