Anyone with this monitor, did you got a shitload of brightness by default?

Switching from my 17 CRT, I can't get a proper configuration. I've set "dynamic contrast" and it got a little bit better, but I still think there should be a way to improve this. Also, I can see the letters are not sharp enough. Like, the pixels. They are all like smoothered out. I also tried to improve colour with the ATi Catalyst menu.

What is your cfg for this monitor? (can you somehow share configuration files?)

there's a couple of good settings there. use the monitors own settings to configure

i'm using myself:

brightness: 50
contrast: 55
red: 70
green: 60
blue: 20
gamma mode 3
sharpness: 24

my settings. since i also watch tv and a lot of movies with the screen, i needed a good compromise between no-eye-cancer-while-browsing and good contrast.

bright: 60
contrast: 100
color tone: custom
color control: 22 16 7
gamma: mode 1
sharp: 16 / 20

In addition, im getting a terrible performance when using GPU scaling. Works really smooth on native resolution, but I can't stand the 16:10 format. Catalyst here.

I've downloaded the latest Catalyst from Guru3d. The image is terrible, close from the super smooth sensation of 1680x1050 native res. (im trying 800x600 4:3)

I unchecked the GPU rescaling options and then I selected r_mode 9 in QL, then it automatically set the black bars and im now getting a really smooth image movement, still lacking the true CRT colors but I guess i'll get used to it soon. Unchecking the thing that you said everyone to check actually did the trick.

Kinda offtopic: Whats the cvar to keep a particular value of "screen size" permanently when you use "sizedown" just one time? I find 22'' way too big and like it a bit sized down (just one time) combined with the vertical black 4:3 lines in a jibo fashioned way.
